Free McBoot exploit and fun by itself too!

    Created: 27/04/11
I bought this game primarily for the ability to run Ulaunch.elf and install Free McBoot to my memory card to play DVD+R game backups. And it works perfectly. BTW, I had received the "Greatest Hits" version and it still worked fine for my Fat console, and I think there is no difference at all between the versions besides aesthetics.

You see, in order to install free McBoot you need to either have a Mod-chip, or have AR Max/ Gameshark/ Codebreaker/ or this usb memorycard. I didn't have any of them. So I searched everywhere (including eBay) for them, and found out that they are still pretty expensive. At least $20 if you're lucky.

So then I learned about the game-swap trick. I tried it with a few of my games that I had already owned and none of them worked (replaced a .elf file in the game disc image). You see, different games work with different systems and also there's different timing issues (when you swap) that effect the success of the exploit. I learned that this game, agent under fire, was guaranteed to work in all systems all of the time. So sure enough, I opted for this option. And let me tell you it's worth it. Let me make this statement now, April 2011, (hear that Googlebots?) "Agent Under Fire is the cheapest, most inexpensive method to install Free McBoot." I got mine for $2 shipped.

To install the memory card exploit, follow the game swap method guide in the FreeMcBoot official website. (use the "noobie package" for the files you put on your flashdrive)

AS FOR MY REVIEW OF THE GAME ITSELF.

It's really fun. Sorry I suck at reviewing.

At first, you may get thrown off because the analog stick controls are set up in legacy-style. Meaning strafe left and right and move forward and backwards are on separate sticks. You can change it in the controller settings to the standard fps controls.

The missions are fun, varied, and reasonably lengthy. There is a points system which unlocks golden guns and other features in multi-player, which gives good replay incentive. The weapons are cool, modern, and fun. A great variety offers an impressive gameplay mechanic.

The multiplayer, fun as always. True to the series, but in this day seems a little dated. Then again, what isn't by now.

Overall, I would recommend it for anyone looking for a fun retro game. But more importantly, I would definitely recommend it for someone looking for a method to install Free McBoot. That to me is the biggest reason to get this game.

James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire (Playstation 2)

This is a really fun game. The game has good visual graphics. The gameplay is not very graphic full of blood and guts, which does make this game playable even with the younger gamers in the family. A really nice feature of this game is that with an attachable multitap connected to your PS2 you can have up to four people playing at the same time. This really ups the game to a new and fun level of play. I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes fun action packed gameplay!!!

My favorite Bond game to date- I've played them all.

    Created: 17/12/07
This is my all time favorite James Bond game! I bought this game, like almost all other Bond games, when it first came out, and I still play it to this day. The graphics were great when the game came out and the game play itself is very fun. This game isn't really based off from any Bond movie in particular (though it seems to take cues from some at times), which makes it all the more interesting. It's not something that you've seen before.

One thing that I particularly liked about the single player mode is the ability to earn upgrades-- things like a Golden P2k, increased clip capacity, etc -- all of this made me want to keep playing and playing. I still haven't been able to unlock all of the platinum awards, though.

The levels are very fun and you'll do a variety of things from saving a damsel in distress to driving a Tank. It's a blast!

The multi player is one golden part of the game, in my opinion. Grab a buddy and you can endlessly blast each other away for hours on end. Fun stuff. While it isn't as fun as the multi player in Nightfire, it is still very entertaining.

Overall, this is my all time favorite Bond game. None really come close. This game has never ceased to stop entertaining me, which is something I can say for very, very few games. Highly recommended by me! A 5 out of 5!

    Great Game!

    Created: 17/07/06
This is a great game with a variety of mission types. Some driving missions, stealth missions, and pure action missions! It's pretty easy and can be beaten in a couple of days if you are an intermediate to experienced gamer. The graphics are phenonamal considering it's a fairly old game. The in-game cinemas and voice-overs are also incredible. This is a perfect one for the begginer in you. So, if you want a game that can always entertain you over and over again, check out James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire.

Great game. Really under-rated when it comes to Bond games. Good missions, good gadgets, simplistic and fun multiplayer. Actually a more fun time than it's sequel Nightfire. I'd say it was a little better on the Gamecube than the PS2, but the two versions are not that drastically different, and both are still very good.
