James Bond 007: NightFire (Sony PlayStation 2, 2002)

This Bond game is probably my second favorite of those available for the Play Station 2. Like any other Bond game, it is action packed and features a very enjoyable gaming experience. Like Agent Under Fire, this game is not based off from any particular 007 movie- a plus in my book, because it keeps you guessing as to what will happen next.

In all the years I have had this game, I will admit; I have yet to actually beat it. That last level is just so darn hard, in my opinion. I can get right to the end of it, but it never fails; I always die or something. Bah!

Up until the last level, the levels aren't too challenging, but they aren't easy either. The graphics were good for their time and are still pretty good in my book. As with any other Bond game, you get a nice assortment of gadgets and weapons at your disposal.

My favorite part of 007 Nightfire is the multi player. It is like Agent Under Fire's- only with bots! You can now not only battle your buddies, but you also get to duke it out with classic Bond characters like Odd Job, Scaramanga, etc. The multi player options make it a very enjoyable experience. The levels are fun and the weapon sets are better yet. Come on. Who doesn't like blasting their buddies away with a remote guided rocket launcher!

Overall, I give this game a 4 out of 5. A very good game!

This is the BEST Bond game I have ever played. It has the single player to keep you entertained for hours, and most of all it's fun! My friends and I can play multi player for 8+ hours straight! We have! Yea I know what you’re thinking,” get a life!" But in my defense it was at night! What else were we going to do? So lets break it down...
Game Play- 9
This game is great. It's action packed. During single player it's challenging and fun. You work with new gadgets to help you take down the bad guys. This is a pretty basic game though. You'll have no trouble picking up a controller and just jumping right into this game though. There are mini vehicles you can use to kill your opponent too. I think this is the stupidest feature in the game. The helicopter and the Tank are the usable mini-vehicles. The tank for me is hard to use. Not impossible but just a little hard. The helicopter is pretty easy to use as well but I just see no point in putting these mini-vehicles in the game.

Controls- 9
I really don’t know why I cant put the controls at a perfect 10. There is just something that bugs me with that. The default controls are as you can expect. You move with the analog stick, shoot with R1 you know just like every other shooting game. You can change the controls just like every other bond game out there to whatever you want. Which is always great because if you don’t like the controls the way you are you don’t have to put up with it. Just hit start and change them no hassle.

Sound-8
The sound on this game is great. I don’t really know how to explain the sound. So I wont go to deep into it. The sound is clear and I have heard no glitches with the sound or anything at all. Simply put the sound is good.

Graphics-6.9 (couldn’t give it a 7)
The graphics are alright. I mean this game is pretty old so yea; it doesn't have the best graphics but there playable. Some games have TERRIBLE I mean absolutely terrible graphics and that will hurt the game play. Though trust me the graphics of this game are good. I have seen better on other games but the graphics are very acceptable and you’ll have fun with the game.

Multiplayer-10
The multiplayer is the BEST part. No objections to anything with the multiplayer. Like I said before it is the BEST MULTIPLAYER SHOOTING GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED! I know you see people say "Best game ever!" But that’s just an opinion, everyone has opinions. Though the multiplayer is great. It's just like Golden eye for 64 buy better! It's like the golden eye for the ps2 with better graphics and a different console and all that. Here is something new and some may like it and some may not though in my opinion it's kind of cool and fun. Use "Oddjob” and take off your hat and throw it at your opponent. This is very unrealistic but when it hits him he will die automatically. Very fun though. Now if you’re a bond fan get your but out there and GET THIS GAME NOW!

Everything in this game is awesome the multiplayer, the sigle player, everything. The single Player is a bit hard because of the first person view but a lot of the greatest men and women in the military played games like these. One of the great things about multiplayer is you can play as one of the many bonds classics such as Odd Job, Scaramanga, and many many more. You also get Al-Bots (computer allies).It has the voice of Pierce Brosnan and great graphics of him but he`s not the only one with great graphics. In story mode you don`t just walk around and shoot people you also get to drive cars snipe out of helicopters and man turrets on snow skiiers. This game is definetly one of the greatest games ever made.

i love the game it stay really true to the old goldeneye feel. after playing goldeneye rogue agent i was a little iffie about playing another new bond game. i was pleasently surprised at first it slightly difficult to get the hang of but after that it is a great game with lots of things to unlock getting platinum medals is virtualy impossible but i am sure it can be done the multi player is just awesome if you like halo or any other shooter like that you will love this game the multiplayer is so much more interactive than most games almost like the original perfect dark for the n64 great game hours upon hours of stuff to and unlock and there is a compendium of cheat codes if you cant get the things unlocked with out help

This game is awesome. It has great 2 player and the on player missions are challenging but fun. It has great graphics awesome weapons and is probably the best shooter game I have ever played.
