Album Notes
The title for the song "Heart" is actually a drawing of a heart in quotes.Jane Child's debut album was a pleasant excursion into synthesized dance-pop that was distinguished by the ingratiatingly catchy single, "Don't Wanna Fall in Love." A handful of other songs on the album -- including the minor hit "Welcome to the Real World" -- demonstrated Child's skills as a pop craftswoman, but just as many fell flat. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

I like how Jane Child had her own personal style!

Created: 06/12/08
I like this Jane Child Cd, I had the tape before cd's where even considered. She has her own personal style and her voice is different from anyone I've known. She had these long and I do mean long corn-rows going down her back and who could ever foreget that nosering she had. Jane Child has disappeared from society and it sucks that whenever you get someone you like (music wise) they always seem to go away. I would really like it if they gave people like me updates or even "Whatever happened too" Anyhow, this cd is good and I had it when i was a sophmore in high school. My favorite song was 'dont wanna fall in love, love cuts just like a knife'' Check this cd out for yourself and see what ya think, everyone has their taste and mine just happens to go to the one and only Jane Child!!!!!

Classic 80's album. It's a mix of POP, ROCK, a little R&B, and dark alternative sounds. Good album as it's worth buying.
