Featuring the standard selection of alternative rock stars, the album surprisingly manages to be more than the conventional collection of mediocre tracks. Instead, there's some energy and life to the performances, particularly on such inspired moves as L7's cover of "Hangin' on the Telephone." It's still not a great album -- there are a number of flat tracks -- but it is unexpectedly enjoyable. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Editorial Reviews...A kind of best of the B sides from some of today's hottest groups, it includes the hard-hitting rock of L7 and Green Day, the rollicking-soft gangsta beats of rappers Coolio & the 40 Thevz, and the melodic distortion of Superchunk... - Rating: B+Entertainment Weekly (19950127)eBay Product ID: EPID3163291
