The Jew and the Christian Missionary: A Jewish Response to Missionary Christianity by Gerald Sigal (1981, Paperback)

I picked up this book a long time ago and its usefulness will be as long as there are Christian Missionaries to the Jews around. If you are Jewish and considering converting to Christianity, or know of someone who is, this and the FAITH STRENGTHENED book by Isaac Troki are all you need in order to refute all the so called "proofs" of the missionaries.
Sigal studied the proofs over a period of many years and carefully (and with respect) refutes every single point made by the missionaries so that any thinking individual can see for him/herself that ABSOLUTELY ALL of the Biblical "proofs" are either taken out of context or deliberately falsified by the missionaries. The book is divided into the "Old" and New testaments. Carefully researched and has not been surpassed by any other book of its kind in the past 30 years!
The missionaries printed a small pamphlet trying to refute the book by one of their Chief missionaries and pastors but their refutation is quite lame and only covered several of the points raised in the book. The rest? I guess they have seen the truth but as all good missionaries, they find it more convenient living the rest of their lives being paid mercenaries against the Jewish people. This is one book you really need if you are serious in understanding the theological inconsistencies of Christianity from a Jewish perspective, as reflected in the writings of the gospels.
