Joan of Arcadia - The First Season (DVD, 2005, 6-Disc Set, Checkpoint)

I had only seen part of one or two episodes when Joan of Arcadia was on tv, but when a friend of mine offered to let us watch her Season One set, my family of 8 (ranging from age 17 - 70+) all would come from every corner of the house, or come home from whereever they were, in order to watch these incredibly well-written shows. Never did it talk down to anyone or insult the beliefs of any culture. Always sensitive to the subject matter, but never shying away from tramatic, life-changing situations. This is one of those fabulous programs that has comedy, love, heartache, soul-searching, every genre you can imagine. I can't say enough positive things about this show. I highly endorse it. I learned a lot, including about other faiths, and I deeply appreciate the courage everyone involved had in presenting it. I purchased it so that we can watch it over again, and to support those who made it, hoping they will continue to make programs of the same high calibre.
