Joovy Big Caboose

I love this stroller!!! I have a 2 1/2 year old, a 1 year old, and i'm due in 6 months with my third, so i needed a stroller that could hold all three of them. My oldest doesn't always like to sit, so this was the perfect solution. I just took it to Sea World yesterday, and pushed them both around for eight hours, and it was great. The stroller maneuvers very well, especially when you consider how long it is, and the storage basket underneath is HUGE. My son is very squirmy, and even he couldn't get out of the buckle. I also love that both of the canopies are fully adjustable, so the kids never had the sun in their eyes. The only drawback that I would warn people about is that it is a VERY large stroller. I have a Yukon XL, and I have to remove the front tray before i can fit it in sideways without folding the back seat down. So I really don't think it would fit in the trunk of any compact car. And I also highly recommend purchasing the separate parent organizer. You can hold tons of stuff in it. It is more convenient than the tray that most strollers come with. My daughter had plenty of room to sit and stand on the back of the stroller, and there was a buckle for when she was sitting. The back seat has to be in the upright position for the kid to stand in the back or there isn't enough room. I would especially recommend this stroller when your oldest child isn't quite old enough to stay next to the stroller at all times. My daughter loves to walk, but she sometimes walks away, and at least when she's standing on the back of the stroller she still feels like a big girl. We put our infant seat in the stroller to test it out, and it fit very snugly. It comes with two adapters, so you could put the infant seat in the front, back, or two at a time. It is a little heavy to lift into the car, but it locks closed really well, so it's maybe awkward more than anything else. And I did compare the stroller to other double strollers I see, and it's about 6 to 12 inches longer than most when open. So not than much bigger when you consider all the options you have. Also, the seats tilt back, but they don't fully recline. My one year old fell asleep while it was reclined, and he had a really nice nap. His head didn't tip over or anything, so I think it tilts back just enough. Overall, if you have a big family and a big vehicle, this could be the stroller for you. I think it's quite possibly the best stroller invention ever!

Love this stoller

I have three kids. One is three and hates being confined to a stroller but when she gets tired needs somewhere to go. The other is 19 months and loves her stroller. My third is newborn in a carrier. This stroller completely fits all may needs and is wonderful. It has ample storage. I also found an attachment from joovy that you can purchase for cup holders for adults. I love that it is light weight folds down easy too. It is big though when it folds down. But I take the front table off and it just fits in my Honda minivan trunk. I have had two double strollers, many umbrella stollers, two travel set stollers and this was excellent in comparision to all for functionality and ease!!!!! I would definately recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Good stroller

I do like this stroller. It folds up easily, fits in my minivan without a problem, and will hold 3 kids. However, I have two problems with it. First, my 2 yr old will not sit or stand on the bench in back. He hogs the front seat. It is his...don't argue with him! So that means I'm always carrying one of my 6 month old twins in a sling and the bench in back goes unused. The second problem is steering. If you are on a slanted sidewalk or at the zoo or somewhere where the sidewalk or walkway is not level and smooth you will use alot of arm strength keeping the Caboose straight. It also doesn't roll well on anything other than asphalt or concrete. I tried to take it on a packed gravel bike path and it was really hard to push. Other than that its a great stroller. It has great sun shades and a snack tray. It also comes with infant seat adapters so you can use your infant car seats with it until the kids get a bit bigger and can sit in the stroller seat.

Joovy Sit and Stand Stroller Ok, but needs improvement
Created: 07/10/06
I bought the Joovy stroller for my 2 1/2 year old and newborn. I bought the stroller because I was looking for a smaller more maneuverable stroller. I didn't want a side by side because of the difficulty of fitting through small aisles and the tandem strollers were always so heavy and bulky. I figured this would be a great solution.
The stroller does accomodate most infant carriers, which is nice. However, when you are using the infant carrier, the front seat must be reclined leaving very little space for the back passenger. My older daughter would have to stand or have very little room on the seat. You definitely could not strap her into the seatbelt.
When you have the front seat up straight, there is more room for the second passenger, but there is no area to keep a cup or snacks. I have attached a makeshift pocket, but it is not ideal. I was also able to find a cup holder to attach to the handle for a cup holder as well.
The storage basket underneath is not very large and the opening to get your bag into the space is even smaller. The child in back must move in order to access the space.
The stroller can be heavy, but I do believe it is easier to push than some of the large tandem strollers. It is difficult to get the stroller up a step. You must pick up the front to get it up or it does not feel sturdy. I recommend trying the stroller with Both Children in the Stroller at Babies R Us.
I have found that the stroller works fine for us. My older daughter is independent and likes to walk sometimes, this stroller gives her the freedom to get in and out. My younger daughter is now old enough that we can use the front seat without the infant carrier. This does make the stroller more flexible in its usage. The stroller could use some improving, but overall it has served its use for our family.

Joovy Caboose

The joovy caboose is a great sit n stand stroller. Compared to the baby trend, it allows the use of many more infant seats. The replacement parts are relatively inexpensive which is why I felt comfortable buying it used here. The seat in back is ample enough for quick rides for a tired child, but the front seat is a little small. My son is three and really doesn't fit in the front seat and he really still likes to ride. It's great for an infant seat - maybe a two year old with the older kid on the back. It has a good ride and is fairly easy to turn, but it is bigger than a regular stroller and heavier. If you still have a kid who wants to ride occasionally, this would be a great fit.
