What the heck were they thinking?

     | No, I would not recommend this product.

Ok... it was awful. Here's the breakdown.

Graphics- Terrible. It looks like a PS1 game where they didn't even attempt to make running animations or combat look fluid or anything. Everything just looks blocky and levels are tiny and lack details.

Sounds- Music sounds decent. Sound effects are all cookie-cutter and commentary by all enemies or your own character are horrible.

Story- Garbage. Somebody killed his parents and now the "hero" just screams arrogant ******bag as he seems to get lethal super killer skills from nowhere. Just picked em up as they went along I guess. The game builds zero empathy for the hero and the cutscenes are done with comics instead of any animation.

Combat- Button mashing. Mash the buttons with the green circle and you're done. There's experience points that are supposed to unlock combos but I never noticed. Enemies are usually garbage unless you hit a boss who can combo half your life away. Like another reviewer, there was an issue where I would finish a combo and the idiot(Griffon) would stand in his animation long enough for the enemy to stand up and punch him with next to no chance to dodge. The combat doesn't change at all the entire game unless you count the changing red portions of the enemy's defense circles. Also annoying are some of the enemies come pre-done with death animations where you jump them into a volcano or on a snowy mountain. Why not just do that to everyone? Why force us to fight when you can just touch them and hurl them into the stratosphere?

Overall- Purely a game for achievements. I had 1000/1000 within three or four hours over 1 and a half playthroughs. It's mercifully short given how much you want to throw the game at the wall for it's amazing failure to do anything right. I don't care what other reviewers think. Anyone who says this game is anything but awful is just trying to mess with you and make you waste your money. But hey! 1000 achievement points are easy to attain here.

    Jumper - I'm Speachless...

    Created: 24/01/10
Who on this development team looked at this game and said, "Oh yeah. This is going on my resume?" Seriously, I would try to let no one know that I helped make this... thing. I don't even want to call it a game. But don't take my word for it. Oh, you have to because the other reviews for this game on here (at least at the time I wrote this) give no real review of the game.

It starts off with you mashing buttons. You hit the A, B, X and Y buttons to pick which side of the person to attack from. And that's it. For the next two hours, you mash those buttons. Oh, you can also manually jump on the other side of walls, across pits and that's it.

So yeah, it's a 2 hour game that ultimately ends with the most drawn out boss fight I've ever seen in a game. You have to hit the guy a billion times just to have his health bar drop a little bit. It's pretty easy because he's slow, it just takes forever.

Now, what I feel is the game's biggest flaw is the enemy attacks. First, when you attack, they'll fall to the ground and cannot be hit, but half the time, I'm in the middle of a combo when they fall and my dumb character has to finish it before he can more. This gives the enemy plenty of time to jumb up and beat me in the face. The other problem is their combos. There was this one part during a boss fight where he punched me down. As soon as I stood up, but before I could move, he punched me down. This repeated a few times until I was dead. I mashed the buttons as much as I could, but I could not break out of the loop.

In the end, this game feels more like a chore than a game, but at least chores give me brownie points with my parents. Actually, this is a great game for any parent to get their kid. It will make them want to throw down the controller and clean the house and do homework.

    A game for all!

    Created: 01/04/08
I don't normally play many games because the ones that get all fancy and difficult I get frustrated with right away, and am easily annoyed by them. But this game, I rented and hope to buy soon! It was hard, but not so hard that I got frustrated! It's fun, and a good buy for people who don't like difficult games like me!!
