Jurassic Park III (DVD, 2001, Widescreen; Collector's Edition)

Joe Johnston, Sam Neill, William H. Macy|Theatrical release: 2001 | Rating: PG-13 (MPAA)

Movie synopsis

Paleontologist Alan Grant (Sam Neill) has sworn never to return to Jurassic Park. But he needs funding for his research, so when a wealthy thrill-seeking couple (William H. Macy and Téa Leoni) come calling, Grant and his protégée, Billy (Alessandro Nivola), agree to take them on a sightseeing flight. By the time Grant finds out what their true purpose is--to land on the island and search for their missing son--all of their lives are in peril. And Grant's newfound theory about Raptor intelligence will have its deadly proof.Joe Johnston was the right director to take over Steven Spielberg's JURASSIC PARK series. He's experienced with special effects, having worked on the STAR WARS films, while his OCTOBER SKY demonstrates his skill at telling an emotionally involving tale. In JURASSIC PARK 3, with the help of a top-notch technical team and a talented cast (who began filming before the script was finished, improvising much of their dialogue), and a new dinosaur, Spinosaurus, that makes even T-Rex nervous, Johnston has fashioned a rousing adventure with state-of-the-art visuals. Clocking in at a tense 92 minutes, it's the fastest-moving, most action-packed film of the series.

Jurassic Park III

Created: 31/12/06
This is an excellent ending to a trilogy. I absolutely loved it, it made me wish that they'd make at least one more.

Paleontologist Alan Grant swore never to return to Jurassic Park because of his terrible experience last time. But when a thrill seeking couple offers him any amount of money that he wants for him to be their guide, he takes it because he needs more funding. But when they land on the island he finds out the couple hasn't been telling him the truth, the true reason why they wanted to go to the island is because their son went missing there several months ago. But of course they are soon in peril.

A must have for any Jurassic Park fan!

Good movie

Created: 01/09/06
I bought this movie because my 3-year old son is obsessed with dinosaurs. He has the other two Jurassic Park movies and loves them, so we needed this one to finish out the collection. The movie is good, we enjoy watching it as a family. And as I expected, my son is crazy about it. It has a lot of action and adventure. I like this movie because although there is some gore in it from the dinosaurs attacking, there is no profanity or sexual content, so I feel pretty comfortable letting my kid watch it.

Love Jurassic Park I & II?

Created: 07/06/07
Seen this movie at least 100 times on TNT or equivelant TV station, so I decided to buy it without having to worry about commercial breaks. This movie didn't disappoint in the ways of action, adventure, and of course dinosaurs. I loved Jurassic Park I and II but this was the perfect ending to a great series. The only reason I was disappointed in any of the movies was because I read both of Micheal Crichton's books (Jurassic Park & The Lost World) many times over and wish that more of the story would have been included into the movies, but it's Hollywood, What can you do?!? Definetly worth renting before buying!

Non-Stop Action

Created: 09/01/08
This is the most-action packed and graphic of the three Jurassic Park movies. The dinosaurs are realistic and scary, but my boys, aged 7 and 10, loved this film. May be a bit too intense for younger children though. A must have if you are a Jurrasic Park fan.

this movie is good fun, in the spirit of the jurassic park saga. Pity the actors of the first one aren't in this movie.
