Just Dance (Wii, 2009)

I like the dances and the exercise. It's like a DDR for the upper body.
Unfortunately, with only 30 or so songs, and chances are you don't like all of them, the game gets worn out really fast. There isn't anything to do besides just play the game; no unlockable levels, no new songs you can buy, no new characters, nothing customizable or anything. Seems very, very basic.

The game also doesn't pick up a lot of the moves sometimes. I've found that it picks up my motions and then stops halfway through the song and I stop getting points no matter where I stand in relation to the sensor bar or how grand I make the moves.

The game is a good party game, don't get me wrong, since you can play with four players and it's fun, but unfortunately, it doesn't offer any excitement beyond the 'gathering' scenario. I would never play the game by myself when I was bored. The game is worth a few plays, but maybe rent it. You only need five days before you're done with it anyway.

This is a wonderful game. Simple enough for even very young players (3 years old) but fun enough for the whole family. And a fantastic way to get some exercise too. "Who Let the Dogs Out" will definitely get your heart rate up. The music cuts across all ages from Elvis to Katy Perry. I hope they have future editions with more songs.

I bought this product to use as an aerobic exercise video. I love to dance and I liked the idea of being able to use the Wii hand control, instead of trying to follow foot placement on a mat. I have not used this product as a "game" with other players, although I think that is the main purpose of the product. This product definitely fulfills my purpose - it's a great workout and as long as you're not interested in your score, it works very well. The only thing with which I'm not happy is the choice of tunes. I don't mind "oldies" but this selection is very heavily "80's" oriented. Songs that were not originally dance type songs have been "remixed" to work well for dance moves - but some of the songs in the "remix" version are a little jarring to my ear. I find that in order to get a good workout all over, I need to go thru all the songs - and as silly as this sounds, I really dislike dancing to a song of which I'm not fond. That's why I gave "Just Dance" version I a 3 star review.
I have been told that "Just Dance" II has much better tunes, so when the prices start to drop on that version or some used games start appearing on e-by, I'll consider another purchase. The concept is great!

This a great game. My 3 yr old and I have so much fun playing. She doesn't even know that it is keeping score! It is definitely a workout! I often find myself out of breath and sweating! If you are competitive and worry about your score, this game may upset you. Someone else also mentioned being scored with a miss when you know you made the right move but oh well. My daughter however never makes the right move and scores a lot of perfects, go figure! I bought this game to get a little cardio and get my daughter up and moving on those rainy or cold days! She loves it and I love being able to have that much fun with her! Another MUST HAVE for your Wii collection.

I got this game through Ebay, so that I would be able to play it with my kids. My daughter is 5 and my step daughter is 7, and they enjoy this game as much as I do. I love that although the kids may not be doing the moves correctly, they can still play with mom.

A big plus is that it truly is a workout in disguise. I played two songs from this game and I already was covered in sweat. The thing is that it's so much fun, that even if you are tired, you don't want to stop dancing.

I can't wait to get the sequel for this game and am looking forward to the new songs.

One complaint that I have against this game is that there are NOT enough songs. The playlist is good and all but it's way too short.
