Kaplan NCLEX-RN Exam 2008-2009: Strategies for the Registered Nursing Licensing Exam by Barbara J. Irwin (2008, Package)

I got this book after failing the first NCLEX. The test taking strategies were great. However, I would grade the questions in there on about a medium level. A friend of mine let me barrow a book that was actually made by PEARSON (the people who put on the test). I actually recognized a couple of questions on the exam that were VERY similar if not the same ones out of the PEARSON book. The Pearson book is called "a comprehensive review of the NCLEX, reviews and rationales" or something along that manner. It's a red, white, and black book. I recommend both of these books.

This book is in excellent condition and is a great prep tool for the nursing board exam. Very informative, with detailed explanations.

This guide for the NCLEX exam is very thorough and has helped me greatly in preparing for the exam. It analyzes and explains the answers clearly and provides various examples which help illustrate the exam's format

Kaplan helps to focus on the important factors when answering NCLEX questions by using the nursing process of assess and implementation, Maslow's hierarchy and safety as the keys to determine the best answer. I am learning more than I expected.

I bought this book to prepare me for the NCLEX exam. I find it helpful and there is a lot of review questions that will help you with your critical thinking. So go ahead and try it yourself.
