Karaoke Revolution (2004) (Xbox, 2004)

For anyone who loves family-oriented fun, this is a great way to spend time! I love trying to sing, and even more so, watching my family and friends do so. The graphics are incredible, not to mention the laughs you get out of trying to create your own player characteristics. The very first day we bought this game we literally sang for approximately (9)hours! There are many songs to choose from, and if you sing a few songs good enough, you have a chance to unlock a song that is not on the original list.

The reason my wife and I decided to purchase this game was for a pure and simple reason, FUN!!! I'm sure you'll agree, it is time well spent!

this game is a blast. i'm not a karaoke person at all and i have the worst singing voice, but i still love this game. the song selection is great and diverse. you learn a lot about your deficits playing this game but you actually start to learn to sing better surprisingly. because of the limitations of my voice, there's some songs i can't do even on easy. but they put in a regular karaoke mode so you don't have to worry about getting the correct pitch. of course, with no scoring and on-screen guide to adjusting pitch during the song, the karaoke mode lets you lapse back into your bad singing habits. like i never realized that i would sing the lower notes just basically dropping the volume rather than maintaining volume but dropping the pitch.

All I can say is this is surely a party pleaser. This game keeps my guests up late wanting to sing another one. Most of the songs are hit songs that are vocally easy to read and some that are vocally challenging.

The take is that you try your hardest to keep on pitch. A bar follows your progress and the words scroll on your screen. If you keep on pitch the crowd gets rowdier in their love of your prowess and on stage prescence.

If your looking for high graphics. You won't get that here. Like Dance Dance Revolution this game is made very interactive so the graphics are far from important. Play it on easy level and easily get Diamond Records and build your confidence. Even the worst of singers can score high in this hit.

I bought this Karaoke Revolution game for my Xbox. My kids love to play this game with their friends. I love the song selection and the fun stages that they can perform on. Also you can go on xbox live and download more songs for the games. I recommend this game for anyone. It is a blast.

Any game that allows a person some freedom of action is a great game in my book. Karaoke Revolution is no exception. I like the fact that it has better responsiveness than the PS2. Now for the down side; it could have included either a more varied set of music genres OR allowed for user music inclusion. Maybe I was expecting too much, but this game comes through when and where it counts (which would be songs I like :-) )
