Karaoke Revolution Presents American Idol Encore (Microphone Included) (Wii, 2008)

Fun game to play! The judges are just as harsh on the game as they are on the show! Simon will tell you if you are horrible. And Paula and Randy will tell you if you just aren't what they were expecting. Simon will also give you the best compliments (IF YOU EARN IT) he won't say you are good if you are really terrible. I do wish there were different disc's to buy for different songs. I like most of them but not all of them. I think it would be great if you could custom order a disc. Anyways over all it is a fun game! 2 thumbs way up!!! :)

LIKE - Build quality of the microphone, judges commentary, scoring system

LOVE - Audio quality, diverse collection of songs, graphics with real American Idol stages

DISLIKE - Lack of unlockables, repetitiveness of judges comments, lack of online content

OVERALL: It's a fun game for all ages that is definitely worth your while. Will you be playing this game in years to come? Probably not. But while these songs are still fresh on your mind, you can sing them and enjoy them with your friends until the next Karaoke Revolution hits shelves.

The song list is great, and with the ability to unlock so many features, you will constantly try to get better with each song. While the judges panel is somewhat robotic, hearing the feedback is fun in itself. The character design is fun, as you can 'see' yourself on stage.

This game may be one of the best karaoke games for the Wii. I really like the range of music, something for people of any age, to sing and have fun with. The judges comments are pretty dead on, while I believed that I did better, they gave it to me straight. My children love it too, trying to battle it out with each other to be the best.
Also, the different modes of the game are excellent. Want to sing a duet, go ahead, or battle your loved ones to see who reigns supreme on a particular tune, or tunes, whatever the case may be. Or take your shot at being the next big thing in idol mode. Really can't stress how fun this game can be, or how it can bring out that competitive spirit in anyone who wants to try and please the judges.
I hope this little comment will help you decide to at least try this game, if not buy it for yourself.

I love that you can make your character look like you litterally. I love how the songs are judged by the pitch, rythm, and you can adjust to easy, normal, hard, or expert. That gives everyone a chance to feel they are a star! My whole entire family all gathered around and took turns playing it. You only need one mic and controller, but can have a group of four having a tournement just like on tv! Its great to see who gets eliminated! So much fun, and so many options that you can't get boored with it!
The only bad thing is there is only 40 songs it comes with. I wish it had more songs but maybe more could be downloaded? I am not sure. Who cares, 40 is alot.
