Album Notes
Seether: Shaun Morgan (vocals, guitar); Pat Callahan (guitar); Dale Stewart (bass guitar); John Humphrey (drums).Fans only familiar with Seether's massive crossover hit "Broken" (which features Evanescence's Amy Lee), may be surprised by the sheer rock power of KARMA & EFFECT. Hundreds of shows and two additional permanent members have provided the band with a fully gelled sound that gives breathing room to massive guitar riffs and Shaun Morgan's brooding baritone voice. That said, the group's pop instincts are still in full effect; "Remedy" has a catchy Stone Temple Pilots-esque melody, while sections of "Plastic Man" sound like Nickelback covering Nick Drake. "The Gift" features a hip-hop-like beat underneath a world-weary vocal melody. "Given," however, is driven by a tectonic plate of a guitar lick worthy of Black Sabbath and Soundgarden. An overall heavier and more relaxed-sounding effort, KARMA & EFFECT is the sound of a band coming into it's own.

Karma and effect - Seether's second album

Created: 17/04/08
It is a very good album, just like the first one "Disclaimer" and its Special editon "Disclaimer II". My favourites: Given, World falls away, Diseased.
The first singel "Remedy" is a fantastic song with a really cool video. The second singel "The gift" is also a good song, and it has a special video. (You can find "The gift" video on the "One cold night" CD/DVD pack.)

Karma & Effect by Seether CD

Created: 22/09/10
I first heard Seether on OCTANE and instantly fell in love. I've always been a metal head, but as I've grown older my music tastes have mellowed slightly. Karma and Effect was not my first CD of Seether, but was purchased to quench my thirst for more as I can't seem to get enough of them. I don't find it as filling as their newer stuff, but it was a satisifing snack to tide me over til their next release. If you don't have any Seether, this shouldn't be your first choice, their newer stuff is alot better, but it is worthy of having if adding to your Seether collection. Unlike Metallica, Seether seems to be getting better with age, like me :) ...

Amazing

Created: 17/06/09
This album became an instant favorite of mine as soon as I got it. Even from the opening track, Seether pulls you in with its well-placed screams and jarring guitar riffs.
I highly recommend this album to any Three Days Grace fan. Don't just buy a couple songs; buy the entire thing. Unlike Seether's other albums, Karma & Effect is completely clean. This CD is awesome.

Best CD and band on the market

Created: 24/03/06
Seether has been my favorite band for the past 2 years. Their lyrics are so meaningful and there's nothing I can say for you to truly appreciate their sound. Their songs are carried with you inside your head wherever you go and you can't escape their catchy melody. Awesome band, one of the best of all time. I saw them in concert and I strongly believe that if everyone saw them, and experienced their music, that they would be a fan for life.

I Have Found The "Remedy" For Bland Music

Created: 13/10/05
When I first listened to this CD, I was reminded greatly of grunge music and Nirvana and Kurt Cobain specifically. Wow. The singer of this band is excellent and his voice can carry his emotions very well. The songs are meaningful and well-written. "Remedy" is the main single off the album and you can see why. That song rocks. But the rest of the CD is no slouch. Each song is beautiful in its own way. The only complaint I might have is that the insert is so cool that you miss some of the music while thumbing through it.
