) I purchased the book 'Eloise Takes a Bath' to complete my set of Eloise books. The original books were written by Kay Thompson and illustrated by Hilary Knight and feature the precocious 6 yr. old, Eloise, who lives in the Park Plaza with her Nanny and pets Skipperdee and Weenie. The book is full of the usual amusing illustrations and commentary and I'm thrilled to add it to my collection!

) I must admit that I am an ELOISE addict!! I have a 1955 edition of the first book and the compilation of the others though I would consider buying 1st editions of those as well. She is so much fun. She reminds me of children of our day who, though not usually rich and living at the Plaza, who had wonderful imaginations and didn't need TV or videos games to keep them busy. I have read all but this version to my 4th grade class 3 years ago and they loved it.
Just realized I'm supposed to be writing about this specific item!! See, ELOISE has more of an effect on me than I thought!!! Now I'm charged up to shop for rawther older books!

This is a wonderful book ,and my 3 year old grandaughter loves to her about Elouise and her adventures.

I bought this book for my great granddaughter who loves Eloise. It is a really fun book. I have not given it to her yet -- waiting for her to come visit.
