Product Information
In a world on the brink of global conflict, you find yourself back on the front lines of battle. Only this time, you're not here to prevent a war... You're here to start one. A third-person shooter from Namco, kill.switch is a mission-based jaunt with 16 different weapons, 15 scenarios, and an emphasis on finding cover for protection. Players can dynamically use their environment as cover -- conform to objects and terrain, popping out to fire from protected positions. There is also a blindfire move that lets the main character fire without even looking. The relentless enemies in the game use the same tactics available to the player, and work as teams to take you down.

Kill.Switch fails to switch from it's pitch ...

Created: 21/12/05
Excuse a pun, but this is what this game is all about - when this 3rd person (over-the-head) shooter came out in 2003, it's commercials and main sales pitch was the in-game ability to take cover and shoot from around the corners, or completely blind spray-and-pray (i.e. action-movie style) - although this element is incredibly fun at first - it is absolutely useless in the game since you get frustrated quickly by spending entire ammo clip (and games' ammo is rather limited) and hitting everything but the enemy - and have to pick around and snipe your targets. The latter leaves a rather dry and clichéd shooter, as the story unravels you as an operator and in-the-mind of a genetically modified soldier (thus having a switch that makes him kill) as you begin to unravel the mystery having to do with predictable rogue military factions and nukes (few interesting plot twists don’t save this game). Environments are boring and repetitive, lack of anything destructible, disappearing bodies (hate that), and boring weapon set (don't even try using grenades unless you are suicidal). Although it will be fun for a few hours of gaming, don't bid too much on this one folks.

Kill.Switch is worthy.

I love to play video games. I had played and beaten Kill.switch in the past. I don't why I sold it when finished. Is not often that I play a game a second time, but this games is one of those you need to have (and keep). The graphics and gameplay are just awesome. If you like shooters, you just have to have Kill.switch!

Great run & gun title.

Created: 03/04/06
Kill.switch is a great gun for the casual gamer that likes to sit down for maybe 30 to 60 minutes and run and gun. The mechanics for shooting from cover are very well done. There is very little story. Tehe game is all action and very fun. There is little stategy. The game is third person and the aiming mechanics are also very well done. I gave this game a 5 out of 5 for its puree fun, action gameplay. Pick it up.

Great Game

I bought this as a birthday present for my boyfriend. He likes first-person war games. He loves this game. He says there is no one to command and it's all about taking out the enemy. Duck, shoot, duck, shoot, run...etc. I highly recommend it.

Kill Switch PS2

Created: 15/02/08
A fun shooter game and challenging. Good for an older game. Graphics are decent and weapon options are realistic. Adversaries are poor shots in the "Normal mode" but they get much better in the "Expert mode". A tutoral is offered before you get started but it doesn't cover all the options and movements. All in all a worthy game if you can purchase it for under $20.00.
