Movie synopsis

A kampy, kult favorite! After a meteor plunges to Earth, young lovers Mike and Debbie discover a circus tent-spacecraft piloted by grinning, red-nosed aliens. The klown passengers are not happy makers of merriment however, but instead demented homicidal aliens with rather unique ways of killing their victims (acid pie, anyone?), who methodically preserve tasty human treats in cotton candy cocoons. Naturally, the kruel killer klowns kreate khaos for the kops, until someone discovers the aliens' weakness--by a nose...

Editorial reviews

"...This offbeat, black-comic homage to '50s monster movies demonstrates both above-average technical skill and large dollops of imagination..."
Los Angeles Times - Leonard Klady (06/04/1988)

"...It's goofy, cultish stuff, the ultimate in clown camp..."
Entertainment Weekly - Daniel Fierman (08/24/2001)

3 stars out of 5 -- "Stephen Chiodo's kult kamper may be just for laughs, but it holds up surprisingly well after 20 years."

So Stupid it is Good

Created: 09/09/06
The acting and visuals in killer klowns from outer space have got to be the worst even for it's time, however this movie is so horrible that it is good. The actors in the movie have went on to do nothing in their acting careers, and even the director has not done anything else but this film, from what the world knows of, and that stinks cause the people want a sequel or at least I do hopefully there will be a remake some day soon. It of course is about. two college students discover a strange circus tent that has came from outer space which servces as a breeding ground for "killer clowns" who terrorize a small town. Now there is a lot of silly stuff in this movie like little Klowns knocking peoples heads off and clows shooting people with guns that shoot out cotton candy, other crazy antics. But don't expect to get scared or have nightmares from this film, expect to laugh at how funny all of the stupid stuff in this movie is. A definent must see.

This 1988 sci-fi/horror film features space creatures disguised as

and used to be really scared of the Killer Klowns. This dvd has
nice picture and sound plus cool extras. If you're looking for
great 80's sci-fi/horror, I recommend this fun and creepy film.

A MUST HAVE FOR HORROR LOVERS

Created: 07/05/08
Aliens from another planet with a taste for human flesh have invaded earth and earthlings are none the wiser because the aliens are CLOWNS! Despite its familiar plot and low budget acting, Killer Klowns from Outer Space is a definate cult horror classic. Disturbingly wicked looking clowns evoke just enough fear to keep audiences entertained, while the impossibly cheesy plot provides just enough laughes to keep audiences in stitches. I've personally seen it more times than I can count. A must have for any horror lovers collection!

Just what it says in the title.

An out-of-this-world special effects extravaganza about a murderous horde of red-nosed psychos out to turn a small California town upside down by turning people into deadly mounds of cotton candy.

Again, this is one of those films where the special effects completely outshine the leads (Grant Cramer & Suzanne Snyder) with the exceptions of the comical duo of ice cream men willing to do anything for getting women.

Word of advice: DON'T NOT VIEW THIS PARTICULAR MOTION PICTURE WHILE CONSUMING POPCORN!

Extras include: Commentary with the Chiodo Brothers, a five-ring circus of featurettes, deleted scenes with optional commentary, bloopers, storyboard & photo galleries, and the original theatrical trailer.

killer clowns from uoter space

Created: 04/04/08
this is a movie i tried to watch a hundred times but never seemed to be able too. it was always too late or interfered with work. any ways only seen bits and pieces.and had completely forgotten about it.until one day i was at the tattoo shop and they had some new flash entitled "evil clowns" as i looked at these i saw one of the characters looked a lot like one of the killer clowns from outer space.this sparked a memory, and later that night i was on ebay looking for it and as always some one out there had it on dvd.just had to buy it and have watched it 4 or 5 times now. yes it is a little campy and cheesy but when it first came out a lot of kids had hard times sleeping and that is what it's all about.unless you are one of those parents wondering why you let them watch it.this has sparked many a conversation among friends and i was really surprised how many people are scared of clowns even now as adults they wont even go to circuses or any where clowns are.i guess this movie really did strike a nerve with some people.oh well touche'.p.s. no i did'nt get a clown tattoo thank you.
