Awesome game! Best Kinect game for me so far!

    Created: 19/01/11
First, I must say I write with a disclaimer (To each his own). Although this was THE funnest game I have played on Kinect so far, everyone has their own opinion. I bought it because I love being athletic in real life so therefore I love simulating this on the game. It is an outstanding workout if played on difficult levels. However, I have hurt myself pushing myself to the limit trying to best leaderboards on the internet. There is alot of repetitive movement on the same joints and muscles so just know your limits. I love the fact that I can literally have the same feeling as I did when I ran track (as in exhausting my body out, pushing it further and further). I love the variety of games but track and field is my favorite. The delay causes some interesting ways of dealing with false starts and fouls. I dislike some of the failed tracking of my movement. Some games I feel as though I have mirrored my last movement and the object goew awry. Bowling might be the easiest but one of the toughest as far as mastering the subtle movements which can cause a strike or a gutter ball. Adding on the mini games was a plus. I can say in all honesty I though I wouldn't like every game but I have played every game and loved them all from table tennis, to boxing, to volley ball. This is just a great way to have an active party amongst friends and family if you have the space.

    Great game

This a great family game... my son is 5 and will stand there and play boxing all day... on rainy days it is a great way to get exercise and have fun... except he doesn't know he's getting exercise.. just that he is having a blast.

It can be a bit frustrating for young kids who haven't mastered body coordination yet... but will put them on the track.

    the future is now

there have been a few games on kinect that are pretty poor, but about 4 or 5 do stand out, this is one. Please bare in mind we have a large room and we can easily play 6 or 5 foot from the sensor, however I still find it plays great 5 or so foot away. Note: ANY reviews of this game where the sensor is lower than the tv screen are a little biased because the BEST place for the sensor is on top of your tv, in our case thats about 5 and half feet high. if you are already calibrated to your kinect, the game will recognise you. We havent found a game that doesnt do what is says, boxing, table tennis, running, long jump, javelin etc all work great, however my favourite is bowling, its really addictive. You dont have to have a brightly lit room in fact we play a lot at night and our room is fairly dim with only a lamp on. This is a great showcase for the technology. the game is great, its loads of fun, and you feel like youre in control and"there". If I had a single gripe Id say the weakest sport is soccer, but that maybe because Im from England and love football........and cant do any of my passing tricks etc:) its still lots of fun when you score.
    great game!! A+

Nothing in the world like it!!!

    Created: 30/12/10
This is the most amazing video game system ever! There truely is "NOTHING LIKE This." The WII and the PS3 Moves has nothing on this system. I literally had it out of the box and set up less than an hour, and the whole family was in front of the TV laughing, giggling, and having the best time I have ever seen. We only bought 1 game (Kinect Adventures) and the whole family has been playing almost non-stop for 3 days. Everytime we think we played ever adventure for the game, we find another. It was also nice to have the demo games. All 3 demos are now games me and the family want.
The only thing about the Kinect is that there are not a ton of games out for it (I think about 10 as of 30 Dec 10), but then there never is for new gaming systems. But, every game that is out is amazingly fun and will keep any game enthusiast laghing and playing for hours.
When Microsoft comes out with more games, the sky is the limit for the Kinect.
10 out of 10 in my book for Microsoft and XBOX!!!!!!!!!

Good sport selection, good graphics and easy to play!

     | Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I bought this game primarily to play bowling and boxing. I was pleased to find out I can compete in other sports, such as soccer and sand volleyball as well.

One drawback the game has is the number of menus you have to back thru when you want to switch sports. Also found the ball a little skittish when you hold it in front of you. May need to adjust the Kinect before you start bowling.

I find the party option useful if you are planning a party (birthday, graduation, etc.) A good way to keep kids occupied on a rainy or snowy day!

Overall, I would rate this game 4 of 5. Good sport selections, good game graphics (lots of celebration) and ease of choosing your options. Again a QUIT button would help!!

If you like sports in general, this would be a good game to choose. LJK.
