Kingpin (DVD, 1999, Contemporary Classics)

This is from the masters of the masterpiece: There's something about Mary. This was one of the Farrelly brothers warm up movies that is very amusing and entertaining for just about anyone 17 and up. I feel they could have stuck some more hilarious scenes in it since this R-rated version one was barely R rated. The pg-13 version is 114 minutes long. I gave it 4 stars because i personally would have changed some content and added another 3 minutes to make it 2 hours even with more hilarious perverted scenes like they did in There's something about Mary. This movie is about a bowler who get's set up by a rival bowler (Bill Murray) who ruins his car then eventually sets him up and ruins his life by making him lose his bowling hand to gamblers. He then becomes an alcoholic for 17 years and finds an young amish guy (Randy Quaid)that he trains to win this million dollar tournament. Well the plan fails as he breaks his bowling hand and Woody Harrelson is forced out of retirement to play for the million dollars. He has Randy Quaid (the amish guy) to cheer him on but in the end everyone comes out more ahead in life then when they start this entertaining journey. A truly great comedy with a flare of that heartwarming type ending for the characters. A must own movie for any fans of the Farrelly Brothers movies.

Kingpin is a hillarious movie by the Farrelly Bros. it is their first movie also to hit big also I believe. With a cast like Woody Harrelson, Bill Murray, Randy Quaid and the Beautiful Vanessa Angel how could you go wrong. There is no way you could watch this movie and not laugh! This is a 5 star comedy classic by the farrely bros. and a tremendous cast!

This is one of a few movies I can watch over and over again!
The story is very good and cast is GREAT ! This is a smart movie! Woody Harrelson,Randy Quaid, Vanessa Angel and Bill Murray are unbelievable!
Bill Murray is not one of my favorite actors ,but in this movie he's great.
I give this movie 10 out of 10.
If You don't know this movie and you are smart , have a healthy sense of humor, you can't go wrong with this one.This is a well thought,well written well played comedy.Not many like it! I LOVE THIS MOVIE ! ( I hope U will love it 2) Enjoy !

very funny movie.woody hattelson,randy quaid and bill murray are hillarious. quaid play an amsish man who isnt very bright. he goes on the road with harrelson learning to bowl and make money to save the amish comunity. they have a hillarious adventre on the road together trying to earn money. a must see.

I have been a fan of this movie since its debut. The very first time I saw this flick I died laughing. The humor is VERY RAUNCHY!!! If you liked the hair gel scene in Something About Mary, you will LOVE this movie. Woody Harrelson & Randy Quaid are perfect for these parts. If your ever in need of cheering up, GET THIS MOVIE!!! And remember that laughter is good medicine!!! This dose will leave your ribs and face hurting!!! Enjoy!
