Kirby's Adventure, The NES Swan Song

Created: 27/05/10
Pros:
This is a fantastic platform game that really pulls the best of what the NES can do. The graphics are bright and colorful, the sprites are nice and big with good detail.

The gameplay is standard Kirby. If you have played the original from the Game Boy, you know what do to. With the addition of different Kirby "Modes", it opens up the game play to various degrees.

The mini-games are fun and original. I love the showdown game personally.

Tons of levels to play and they are very varied.

Cons:
The various Kirby "Modes" make the game far too easy. The game is very easy as it stands, but it makes it far more easy than it should be.

Overall:
This game is an almost perfect game. It showcases all of the best of old school gaming while showing none of the bad. As one of the final NES games ever made, it is also one of the best, falling short of games like Mario 3. If a game is only slightly less than Mario 3, you can count on this game being very good!

The mean pink machine

Created: 24/10/08
Another classic side-scroller game, featuring my favorite video game character of all time. While a side-scrolling game wasn't a particularly new idea at the time, Kirby was unique in that the main character could assimilate the abilities of certian creatures. A large variety of powers were in the game, some great (UFO), others confusing (Ball), others downright silly (Sleep). Each World is set in a large hub screen, where Kirby can enter various levels, play sub-games for extra lives, and assimilate abilities. The gameplay is classic side-scrolling; simply get to the end of the level.

The large number of abilities allow each player to tackle the game in his or her own way.

This game isn't just classic; it's still as fun today as it was back then. A graphically upgraded version was released on Gameboy Advance (Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land), but nothing beats the classic. Pick this game up or download it from the Wii Virtual console...you won't regret it.

One of the best games for the NES!

Created: 24/04/11
This is an outstanding NES game. The story is that King Dedede has taken the Star Rod that gives everyone peaceful sleep and broken it into seven pieces, which Kirby has to go find before everyone in Dream Land is subjected to a lifetime of terrible nightmares! This game is not one to miss; it's visually appealing, has great music and controls, and introduces Kirby's now well-known ability to eat enemies and steal their powers.

This is a great game, and the debut game for Kirby. If you're a Kirby fan, this is a must own game.

amazing classic game

This is one of the best games for NES ever made. It is still exceedingly entertaining in a world of 3D shooters and massive rpg's. You are Kirby, an adventurous pink puffball who journeys through many short worlds to recover the starite at the end of each. You have the ability to float, suck up enemies, and swallow them. The cool feature of Kirby is his ability to steal his enemies powers when he swallows them! I love this cute fun game and would recommend it to anyone who still has a love for classic NES games.
