    Lee Marvin & Richard Burton

    Created: 08/02/06
    The Klansman,
    Starring Lee Marvin,Richard Burton,Cameron Mitchell,O.J.Simpson, & Linda Evans.
This movie deals with the Klu Klux Klan and the power they have over a small town.
A young white woman is violently raped. The white town fathers immediately declare that the attacker had to be black and blame a young black man, who takes to the woods as the Klansmen start hunting him down.
Lee Marvin plays Sheriff Trask Bascomb who either does or doesn't try to stop the town farthers.
Not the Best Movie by far but worth a look.

Filmed on location in Oroville California 1974

The only reason I bought this DVD is because it was filmed in my hometown....
This film could of been better if the main characters were sober...
Rumor has it that Richard Burton and Liz Taylor Stayed drunk for days....
Delaying filming time after time....the house they rented in Chico, (only miles from the film set), was ruined in drunken episodes....Lee Marvin was seen in town eating meals...angry....seemed to be intoxicated....you wonder why this film basically sucked...

several great actors like Richard Burton and Lee Marvin but the plot was weak and tried to point out the wrongness in racial discrimination. Would not buy again. Randy Y.

    The Klansman (2003 DVD)

GOOD MOVIE OF THE TIME AND PLACE (1965) . THE HARDSHIP THAT THE COLORED PEOPLE HAD TO ENDURE DURING THIS FINAL CHAPTER IN THE USA.
I LIKE THE MOVIE GOOD PRODUCTION.
WHAT I DISLIKE WAS THE WAY THE COLORED PEOPLE WHERE TREATED DURING THESE YEARS IN THE USA. I HOPE BY NOW THAT THING AS CHANGE FOR THE BETTER.

    MAY GOD BLESS

    A True Classic

    Created: 18/07/06
The first Time I saw it when it first came out , I just had to see it again.

Because even though their are great actors and other people in this move, it would be worth looking into, and after you had looked into it .You will want to add it to your collection.

In some seans it is weak , but it starts to pick up latter on.
