    Publisher's Note
    The first volume of a series based on the popular video game brings readers to the outer rims of moons Phobos and Deimos and describes the assault team's confrontations with monsters within the Phobos base. Original.

    This is the first chapter of the legendary space opera based on the bestselling computer game. From the Gateways between the two moons came strange, garbled messages for help--then nothing. So you secured the outer rim, while the command--your buddies--went inside. Those last radio glitches race through your mind--the gut-wrenching screams. Now you're alone.

    Doom paperback novels

    Created: 09/11/09
    The Doom novel series is a series of four near-future science fiction novels co-written by Dafydd ab Hugh and Brad Linaweaver; Knee-Deep in the Dead, Hell on Earth, Infernal Sky, and Endgame. The series is initially based on the Doom and Doom II first-person shooter video games created by Id Software, although there are multiple departures from the game in the first two novels, and the second two continue in an independent direction to the games' storylines. The novels are primarily written from the first-person perspective of Flynn Taggart, a corporal with the United States Marine Corps, although the perspective changes from character to character in the second and third novel.

    On February 26, 2008, the series was rebooted and restarted in the vein of Doom 3. The first book, Worlds on Fire, was written by Matthew Costello, the original writer for Doom 3, and released by Pocket Star Books. The book stars Special Ops Marine Lieutenant John Kane in the year 2145.[1] The second in the series, Maelstrom, was released on March 31, 2009 and shares the same author and publisher.

    Consists of four novels.

    * Knee Deep In The Dead
    * Hell on Earth
    * Infernal Sky
    * Endgame

    Great novel for the summer

    Really enjoyed the novel. It's a fun read for the imaginative teenager to older men. I grew up playing the game, and the book follows the game mechanics! It was fun to visualize all of the game characters in the book as well. This is not Shakespeare, but it's good for a summer novel.

    Totally awesome for a fan of the game...

    Created: 05/06/09
    It's a great page-turner, a semi-perfect spin-off of the game (unlike the movie...:P) I'm already ordering all the other 3 sequels right now and I'd recommend it for anyone who likes reading and the game's universe...
