Throughout his years working as a knitwear designer, Brandon Mably has had the good fortune to journey around the world presenting his hugely popular “Color in Design” workshops. Wherever he went, Mably took inspiration from the local crafts and colors. Now, he shares some of the ideas he’s gathered in a collection of unique projects bound to tempt any knitter. Beautiful as these pieces are, they’re also straightforward, with most featuring a basic stockinette stitch and his own simple color technique. The photos within let knitters and non-knitters alike, feast on the magic of places they may never have the privilege of visiting. Having personally viewed several pieces from this book; the photos do a wonderful job of capturing the true colourways.
I would highly recommend this book to those looking for inspiration. Your knitting cannot help but be affected once you have caught Brandon's very contagious joy of working with colour. His talent is truly awe inspiring. Once you open the covers and delve within, your view of colour will be forever changed.
If you have the chance to take a course from Brandon grab the opportunity with gusto. You will be forever changed and you will be compelled to add this book to your library.
