Fine projector, well built with some weight to it, good for the money.

Needed a better slide projector to view old slides, don't like the digital transfer process the images are not as crisp and clear. The 5600 has the most features of all the models Kodak made. Over all function is pretty good with only one small hang up, a small cam that makes the slides and carousel advance was jaming up. So I dissembled the projector and found that the grease surrounding the cam had slowly pushed away making it dry and prone to stick. I just simply redistributed the grease where it should be allowing the projector the function 100% with out even the slightest glitch. These are good projectors with many hours of viewing enjoyment left in them. Since they can use both the 80 and 140 carousels this makes them even more versatile with older cardboard slides that require a little more space to function smoothly.

The projector came in excellent condition and works very well. The short focus lens that came with it however, does not work well with the auto or remote focusing control. After putting my old long lens (102 - 152 mm) on the projector, I am able to focus and control the image size to where I want it, so I am very pleased with the purchase and now I have a newer model than the original I have owned for more than twenty-five years. A good buy.

rarely take slides anymore but I have thousands of slides from the past. My old projector died. This one is actually an upgrade and we have enjoyed going back to watch the old pictures. Glad he had it for sale.
