Kodak Easyshare C663 6.1MP Digital Camera

I purchased this camera as a second camera for my own use. My wife has charge of our family camera. I use this camera primarily for taking pictures of my Grand Children. The EASYSHARE C663 6.0 Digital Camera is the perfent weight & size to fit in my shirt pocket. It has a setting for "SPORTS ACTION" as well as other settings. It takes very good pictures and is , I think, a very good value. It is easy to use and with EASYSHARE software convenient to print my own at home prints. I would reccommend it it for any type of use.

I bought the Kodak C663 camera as a cheap camera for my daughter to take on a trip. For under forty dollars I got a cheap camera that was not only working, but in mint(not a scratch on it) condition. This camera has a large 2.5" viewscreen, looks of quality with metal accents, and has great extra features. It uses regular AA alkaline or can use a CR-V3 rechargeable battery pack. The batteries so far have lasted a long while. It takes really beautiful outside shots which is a trademark quality of the Kodak cameras I have had before. It has very nice video as well. The size of the camera is sort of campared to two of the small flat(deck of cards) cameras stacked on top of each other.
Compared to my Panasonic Lumix TZ1, this camera is smaller and slower. The view screen is not as accurate and detailed. There is no dedicated on/off switch, so you always have to turn the wheel from off to whatever capture mode you want. I believe this slows the operation of the camera. Also, when you change the battery all memory(time,date,etc) is lost and you have to reset everything when replacing them. However, with all that said, this camera is a great camera for the money with the great quality pictures. I was surprised that there were so few reviews of this camera.
They were all fairly recent and quite positive. I understand that it was released in 2006 or so. My five star rating is based on its price to quality ratio which is indeed excelllent. I would definitely buy this again for the price. Oh, I did already! Ha ha. Got one for an extra family camera to carry wherever. Judging from other reviews, I'm guessing others would as well.

I bought this camera "refurbished" as my C875 stopped working. I had been looking for a digital camera with a viewfinder so I could take pictures outdoors - I missed a lot of pictures when the sun glare made it impossible to use the C875 which only had the screen viewer. Most of the digital cameras now don't have the viewfinder unless you go for the superexpensive SLR or there are some Olympus models (I find these too small - I have fairly large hands).

Very easy camera to use, weight felt good while shooting pitures. It's ok for pictures that are way out their but still perfere my 35mm for that! The video does a very good job no jitters or out of focus. With a 2GB memory installed will give you about 50 minutes video recording time!!.2GB memory will run around 10 to 15 bucks!!

Although dated this camera remains one of the better Kodak Easyshare models with constantly good quality. The glass Schneider-Kreuznach lens is far superior to the Aspheric Lens delivering reliable clearness. Still a great camera.
