Documentary lovers will enjoy this one. The history of the Korean war shown
in combat footage and a few interviews in documentary form. Very simply tells
of the dark days of the opening of the war with the UN troops being pushed back
into the small Pusan perimeter and the breakout with the Inchan landing trapping the N. Korean armies. The resulting rout of the N. Koreans and the
movement of the UN armies - headed by american marines and soldiers- to the
Yalu River. The entrance to the war of the Chinese armies and the resulting
stalemate that ends with a truce that splits the Korea into two parts along the
38th Parallel.

Many times my purchase gives me a "window" into my past; a photo of a street my grandfather lived on in 1910 in the form of a postcard, an old book describing a battle in the Koreas war in which my uncle was killed or a simple whiskey jug produced by a local KY. mfg. Ebay allows me to scour the world for pieces of history, photos and items of my past. Each "find" from South America to the Hills of Kentucky gives me a cleared view of my past and a hope for hope for the future: for to not know one's history is to likely repeat one's past mistakes. All of this is done from the armchair in my sunroom and with confidence that it is secure and safe. I have had very few problems and those to which I have had, mostly I can only blame myself for not reading closer. This is being written free and clear of any payments, fees or personal gain of any kind. I am retired and love the internet. TB

) i bought this for my father for fathers day...i did not watch it....he recieved it and likes it...and that's all i know....but it came in great shape...sealed and well wrapped....i'm sure it is a great cd for a Korean War Veteran like my dad....

My friend who was in the Korean War said he thought no one ever made a true story about. He said this covered it well and I found it on ebay.
