Lamb of God - Killadelphia (DVD, 2005)

Theatrical release: 2005 | Rating: Not Rated

Movie synopsis

Metal band Lamb of God may hail from Richmond, Virginia, but their dark brand of melodic thrash pits them squarely in the midst of the European (and mostly Scandinavian) death-metal tradition. KILLADELPHIA captures the band performing live at Philadelphia's Trocadero in October 2004 for 15 tracks of pure metal fury (including six from their major-label debut ASHES OF THE WAKE) as well as behind-the-scenes footage from their world tour. Songs include "Laid to Rest," "Bloodletting," "Now You've Got Something to Die For," "Terror and Hubris," "As the Palaces Burn," and more.

Lamb of God - Killadelphia

Created: 09/08/06
Lamb of God formed in 1990 in Richmond, Virginia. This is the 4th album they have released under the name of Lamb of God. They released only one album under their former name Burn The Priest with guitar player Abe Spears.

Lamb Of God Is
Willie Adler - Guitar
Chris Adler - Drums
David Randall Blythe - Vocals
Mark Morton - Guitar
John Campbell - Bass

Cons
-Blythe sounds incoherent and drunk as hell at times
-The album kinda blends together like one big song
-The guitar's really utilive the palm muted low D string
-The bass is almost never heard
-Randy is always talking about getting drunk and using the F word every 10 seconds
-The drums double bass gets very repetitve

Pros
-Good live band, amazing show
-The guitar, drums, and vocals are always spot on
-They do a good mix of songs fromall of their albums
-Great work instrumentaly

I recomend buying this album if you are a fan of LoG, they deliver a good live performance and they really show that they are pure american heavy metal!

There is a LOT of stuff to watch on this DVD.
You can watch the concert only, or the concert with the extra content, which is the band on their many adventures on & off stage.
They are always interacting with the camera, & are always funny as hell!
Also, the extras in between the concert songs is not even the stuff that is in the extra footage section! There is another hour of stuff there too!
Great buy this DVD is.
Pick up a copy if you are a fan of Lamb of God, and you will not be disappointed.

As usual, LOG gives you everything they possibly can. This dvd has, in addition to all the great concert footage, tons of candid sometimes funny sometimes serious moments.

The quality of the dvd is excellent. All the menus work as they should. No mechanical problems or sections that won't play.

After watching various parts of this dvd for over two hours there is still more. I started out with the band and crew profiles, then watched the soundchecks and now I'm watching the concert captures. LOG also splices in conversations and scenes that give context or keep things from getting stale.

It's an amazing dvd from an amazing band. Find a good deal for this on ebay and enjoy! :D

Lamb of God is a good and popular band (so I discerned from Dunn/McFayden/Wise film "Metal:A Headbanger's Journey". They are exciting. I like the extra scenes of the band on tour, even though they are obviously contrived situations. Drunk and brawling in the streets of Glascow Scotland is my favorite. I also enjoyed the skydiving episode accompanied by Ride Of The Valkyries. The scene in and around Warwick England is also very good.
