I HIGHLY Recommend that you add this to your Library , since Basics are the cornerstone of any worthwhile knowledge you acquire..
Good Illustrations and grasp of the subject for people who would like to learn how to Facet or Cabachon their first stone , and for those who would like to expand their own basic understanding of the subject.
Look over my other reviews , the books I recommend are a Highlight of my large library on the topics of Gems , Minerals , Goldsmithing and Facet work, and recommended as NEED TO HAVE , as a cornerstone to any good library for the Gem-collector , dealer , or professional..
Learning the basics will save you alot of $ , when you go to buy gems , minerals or equipment , SINCE there is alot of mis-represented merchandise out there..
Be SMART , know what you are buying , before you buy..
