Movie synopsis
Britain's longest-running sitcom follows a group of irreverent old-timers in the Yorkshire Dales. Set in the village of Pennine, the show's graying residents may be positively ancient, but their behavior is decidedly, and hilariously, immature. This third season follows Compo, Clegg, and Foggy as they live life to the fullest and enjoy their golden years. Included here are seven episodes: "The Man From Oswestry," "Mending Stuart's Leg," "The Great Boarding House Bathroom Caper," "Cheering Up Gordon," "The Kink In Foggy's Niblick," "Going To Gordon's Wedding," and "Isometrics And After."

) I love the characters, especially Compo and Clegg. The situations they find themselves getting into in a simple English town are hillarious. A very beautiful slice of life comedy that captures all the beauty of the english countryside. I've watched this show on television for years and am thrilled to have the chance to finally own these episodes so I can enjoy them whenever I want. Any fan of smart, clean ,funny entertainment must add this to there collection.

What can you say about these guys that has not been said EVERYTHING.As an Englih man born and bred,I used to watch these guys back in the old days of real clean and funny English comedy.Just great to see and remenber what can make you laugh and enjoy such humoUr.I just want the whole sries of DVD's

Having been a fan of "smart" english comedy - and NO I don't consider Monty Python anything but a bore - we caught onto LOTSW visa vi PBS this year.
First season available by ebay seemed to be season 3, so we started with this one.
Clegg still looks the same as he does in 2009... not sure that's a good thing. The only drawback is that the accents are much thicker here than in more recent shows, but the humor is spot on, hilarious at times.
Very family friendly too

Last of the Summer Wine: Vintage 1976

This DVD was purchased as a Christmas present for my wife. We are trying to compile as many of the Summer Wine DVD's as we can. The show plays on the BBC station and we both enjoy it emencely as we do the DVD's. They take you to a simpler life and teach you to appreciate the day to day life. A+++ series.
