Entertainment mogul Walter Latham rose from obscurity and hardship to become one of the most successful comedy promoters in the country. His roster of talent is a virtual "who's who" of modern urban comedy--Chris Tucker, Bill Bellamy, Steve Harvey, Martin Lawrence, D.L. Hughley, Bernie Mac--and his comedy specials THE ORIGINAL KINGS OF COMEDY and its follow-up THE QUEENS OF COMEDY were both huge hits that launched the careers of then-unknown comedians such as Cedric the Entertainer and Mo'Nique. Latham builds upon that success and introduces a batch of fresh talent with his new comedy special LATHAM ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTS. Featuring familiar faces like Hughley and Sommore, as well as newcomers Bruce Bruce, J. Anthony Brown, Earthquake, and Rickey Smiley, this collection of outrageous standup comedy filmed live in Chicago is a welcome addition to the comic hilarity that is the Latham legacy.

) The whole DVD was funny but it didn't seem long enough for as many performers as they had. I guess I got spoiled by the Kings, Latin Kings and Queens of Comedy their shows seemed longer. This was still a great show - I love stand up comedy so I guess I am slightly bias. If you can get it cheap try it you might like it.

Too much repeat comedy!

I wasn't too happy about this DVD. If you have seen the comedians who were on this in other shows, you would think you were watching it all over again. Lots of repeat comedy from past shows. D.L. basically repeats his whole show from his solo preformance on the Platinum Comedy DVD. What a waste of money.=0(

This is the greatest comedy show put on DVD! I've seen it at least 10 times & know all the jokes by heart.
