Le Cordon Bleu Complete Cook Book (2002, Hardcover)

When I purchased this cookbook, I thought I would be getting a complete guide to French cooking techniques. In reality the book is a collection of gourmet recipes, which are lovely, but not exactly what the title implies. Just because the words, "Le Cordon Bleu" flash before your eyes it does not mean you will be getting a cooking-school format! I collect cookbooks and added the volume to my shelf because it was beautifully illustrated and well-bound. If you are looking for techniques, try any of Julia Child's many excellent cookbooks.

As a Le Cordon Bleu graduate & Executice Chef, this book displays all the fundamental cooking techniques in way I believe anyone can obtain. The classic dishes portrayed are magnificantly written and photographed. I liked this book so much I purchased a second one for my Sous Chef! I would recommend anyone interested in learning tried and true processes to purchase this and other LCB books.

This is a wonderful book! The recipes are easy and uncomplicated and most important of all they all turn out beautifully and are delicious and very flavourful. I have bought a number of these books to give to my friends and family. I can't say enough good things about it and it by far surpasses all of my other cook books - I hope they write more. If you can find it and love to cook, buy it!!!

I like that it is so easy to follow. I love that it has a nice pictures.Idecide to buy it because the price and because I can not pay for a Cordon Blue school.
