Led Zeppelin|Theatrical release: 2003 | Rating: Not Rated

Movie synopsis

Very few Led Zeppelin performances were caught on camera during the band's life-span, but the footage that has been preserved for posterity is collected on this release. With a running time of over five-and-a-half hours, this is the definitive word on Zep's global stage-straddling performances. The footage is taken from London's Royal Albert Hall in January 1970, London's Earls Court in May 1975, Knebworth in August 1979, and Madison Square Garden in July 1973. Guitarist Jimmy Page has taken great care to restore, remix, and remaster the sound from these shows, providing a visual and sonic assault that offers indisputable proof of Led Zeppelin's reputation as a rock & roll behemoth. Additional footage comes in the shape of several television interviews, a bootleg shot of the band performing "Heartbreaker," behind the scenes footage from Knebworth, and a whole lot more.

Led Zeppelin 2 Disc DVD Set

Created: 13/09/10
A great addition to any Zep fans collection! This new set presents some previously unseen footage from the 1973 Madison Square Garden gigs, its real wonders lie in the earlier 1970 Royal Albert Hall footage and the later 1975 Earls Court, and 1979 Knebworth concerts. Everything here looks and sounds great thanks to the remastering of both audio and visual sources!A labor of love on the part of co-producer Dick Carruthers working with Jimmy Page.Page and Carruthers have chosen only the best possible footage available. They also went to great lengths to make the segments segue seamlessly so that it feels like a continuous concert.
About 230 minutes of concert footage plus another hour and a half of extra DVD material.A rare musical and visual treat. But hearing Page's violin bow work on multiple takes of Dazed and Confused is an experience not soon forgotten.

Disc 1
We're Gonna Groove/ I Can't Quit You Babe/ Dazed And Confused/ White Summer/ What Is And What Should Never Be/ The Ocean/ How Many More Times/ Moby Dick/ Whole Lotta Love/ Communication Breakdown/ C'mon Everybody/ Something Else/ Bring It On Home, and more great black and white performance footage!
Disc 2
Immigrant Song/ Black Dog/ Misty Mountain Hop/ Since I've Been Loving You/The Ocean/ Going To California/ That's The Way/ Bron-Y-Aur Stomp/ In My Time Of Dying/ Trampled Underfoot/ Stairway To Heaven/ Rock And Roll/ Nobody's Fault But Mine/ Sick Again/ Achilles Last Stand/ In The Evening/ Kashmir/ Whole Lotta Love,and more black and white performance footage!Highly recommended!

The BEST of British Rock - Led Zeppelin

Created: 05/09/07
This DVD is OK with some great clips but the best and i would recommend is that u buy the DVD Led Zeppelin The Song Remains The Same in concert and beyond, one of the BEST Led Zeppelin concert caught on stage 1973 Madison Square Garden fans should NOT MISS. Some of the BEST hits of all time are perform on stage song like, Stairway to Heaven, Dazed and Confused, Since i've been loving you, Rock & Roll, Rain Song, No Quarter and more. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant is a mindblowing combination when they perform on stage. Page ripping all the chords when playing with his twin guitar in Stairway to Heaven is really amazing. All i can say is that this is “The BEST of British Rock and The PIONEERS OF HARD ROCK. The REST imitators” :P neo-geo9

Get The Led Out

Created: 05/09/07
Purchased a couple of months ago, the (Two)DVD Set was all that I expected and more. Led Zeppelin was a band in their prime with very little video exposure with the exception of "The Song Remains The Same" movie recorded 1973 Madison square Garden, NYC. Much was related to their disdain for British TV & media in general. So much so that they never released a single in Great Britain. Produced over a few years this DVD took years to complete, editing from scare & spotty video & audio with help of Jimmy Page. Considering all that the sound is remarkable & in most cases the video as well. Particularly, one of my favorites In My Time of Dying, as well as Since I've Been Loving You are exceptional. With all their great music, one would be hard pressed to find fault in any ommitions. It could only been better with a live version of When The Levee Breaks given the times. All said over 5 hours of high enjoyment.

i'm a huge zeppelin fan..but my History of Rock-N-Roll professor, Randy Albright played a few clips from the dvd set in class and actually recommended it to us. He said "If any of you guys like Zeppelin, this would be a great buy." the live concerts are amazing and i thank god he gave us Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones & John Bonham during their time of rockin'. like professor Albright, any Zeppelin fan should buy this dvd set. keep Rockin'!!! Led Zeppelin 2 DvD Boxed Set is the BEST BUY EVER!..DvD #2 is AWESOME..It has 3 solid hr's of uninterrupted Led Zeppelin Concerts dating 1973-1979..THIS IS NOT footage poorly pieced together due to age but Real Live Concerts made with the Highest Sound & Visual Quality as if it were filmed today..Disc 1 is 2:20 min's of Zep's Early Concerts Performed 1968-71..Plant,Pagey,Bonzo,&amp; Jonsey are so young but sing & play to PERFECTION..You see their very 1st Set & unequivocally one of their very last Concerts.(both are in England)..Getting to see Robert Plant sing up close is more than worth the watch PLUS Pagey gives us his BEST & neither disappoint..Peter Grant & Mr. Page started filming Zeppelin's concerts from the beginning on 8mm film..Mr. Page then spent yrs looking through 10 yrs of concert film frame by frame to produce over 5 hr's of Pure Led Zeppelin & added several news interviews he & Mr. Plant made but the rest is Concerts..It is a must have for any Led Zeppelin Fan or not..Like I said "Robert Plant is WELL WORTH THE WATCH" & "Well worth the money"..
