Product Information
The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past on Game Boy Advance is an identical port of the classic SNES game of the same name. What separates these brilliant Zelda adventures other than the Game Boy Advance's version being portable is that the GBA version also includes a Capcom-developed multiplayer game entitled Four Swords. In Four Swords, up to four players can play together for a mix of cooperation and competition, solving puzzles, gathering Rupees and trading items. Fans of the Zelda series receive two great games for the price of one in this must-own GBA title.

LEGEND OF ZELDA: A LINK TO THE PAST W/ FOUR SWORDS

Created: 08/05/08
I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE THIS GAME IS VERY NOSTALGIC TO ME AND OTHERS OF MY GENERATION OF GAMERS. IT REMINDS US OF OUR TIME OF PLAYING VIDEO GAMES AS CHILDREN AND SHOWS US OF HOW VIDEO GAMES HAVE DEVELOPED OVER THE YEARS. THIS GAME IS A REMAKE OF THE SUPER NINTENDO VERSION OF THE GAME OF THE SAME NAME. IT ALSO INCLUDES A MULTIPLAYER COOP OR COMPETITION GAME CALLED FOUR SWORDS. THIS VERSION OF LEGEND OF ZELDA: A LINK TO THE PAST W/ FOUR SWORDS GIVES NEWER GAMERS A CHANCE TO PLAY AN OLDER GAME ON A NEWER SYSTEM. (TECHNOLOGY)

THE STORY OF LEGEND OF ZELDA: A LINK TO THE PAST IS ABOUT AN EVIL THAT HAS SPREAD ACROSS THE LAND OF HYRULE BY WAY OF A PORTAL OPENING AND SEVEN SAGES WERE SENT BY ITS KING TO SEAL THE PORTAL. THEY HAVE SUCCEEDED. OBSCURED BY THE MIST OF TIME THIS STORY BECOMES LEGEND. A MAGICIAN NAMED AGAHNIM KILLS THE KING AND KIDNAPS ALL THE YOUNG MAIDENS THAT WERE DESCENDENTS OF THE SEVEN SAGES. A YOUNG BOY (YOU NAME HIM BEFORE STARTING THE GAME) HEARS A VOICE CALLING HIM TO HELP SAVE HER FROM HARM. THIS VOICE IS THE LAST MAIDEN ZELDA, WHO DESCENDED FROM ONE OF THE SEVEN SAGES. YOU, THE PLAYER, MUST ENTER MANY DUNGEONS, FACE MANY MONSTERS AND BOSSES AND PERFORM MANY TASKS OR SIDEQUESTS IN ORDER TO GET TO ZELDA AND SAVE HER.

THE STORY OF FOUR SWORDS IS THERE IS A LEGEND OF A SWORD CALLED FOUR SWORD. FOUR SWORD IS A POWERFUL SWORD AND ALSO A PRISON FOR THE EVIL WIND SAGE NAMED VAATI. ONE DAY THE SEAL WAS WEAKENED AND A YOUNG MAIDEN, ZELDA AND A YOUNG BOY COME TO CHECK ON THE SEAL. SUDDENLY VAATI SHOWS UP AND KIDNAPS ZELDA. THE YOUNG BOY BECOMES A HERO AND TAKES THE POWERFUL FOUR SWORD IN ORDER TO SAVE HER. BY PICKING THE SWORD UP THE YOUNG HERO IS SPLIT INTO FOUR HEROES. YOU, THE PLAYER MUST EXPLORE DUNGEONS, FIGHT MANY MONSTERS AND BOSSES, GATHER ITEMS AND COMPLETE TASKS OR SIDEQUESTS IN ORDER TO RESCUE HER.

One of the Best

Link to the past is by far one of the best Zelda's out there. I bought my son a Nintendo DS for Christmas last year. I work nights at a hospital watching heart monitors. So needles to say I have a bit of down time at work and I bring his DS with me once in a while. Come to find out you can buy Gameboy Advance games in the DS. The first game I bought was A Link to the Past. I went through this game on the Super Nintendo when I was younger, but could never find everything in the game (still working on that). Now, for the most part A Link to the Past is like other Zelda games. The unique thing about this game is the light and dark worlds. The two different world make for a challenging adventure with some tricky puzzles. I recommend this game to all Zelda enthusiasts, puzzle game lovers, and RPG gamers

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Created: 21/12/10
This game is one of the best games ever made. Being Zelda, it has alot to live up to. Just having the name :The Legend of Zelda makes it legendary, but with all the amazing gameplay elements, it makes it even better. For example, Having 10 Unique dungeons (either 9 or 10, can't remember)each jammed with obstacles, enemies, and puzzles. The overworld is amazing, with interactive enemies. The items are great, and the puzzles somewhat chalenging. A Link to the Past is another great masterpiece of The Legend of Zelda.

A Zelda classic plus!

I got this game because my SNES stopped working and I was no longer able to play A Link to the Past. Now, they updated the classic game, and while the graphics and gameplay are the same as they are on the old Super Nintendo, they've added some things to it. Link, for example, makes sound when he swings his sword, and the names of the dungeons appears on screen when you enter them.

They've also added a side-game called Four Swords, which is multiplayer strictly, and I wasn't sure I'd ever get the chance to play since it requires each p;ayer to have a copy of the game, a GBA, and a link cable. However, I was lucky enough to have a friend with this game and a cable, so we were able ot play FOur Swords. It wasa lot of fun, and I hope Nintendo will release more good multiplayer Zelda games (not like the boring multi-player extras games included on the two DS Zeldas)

Also added to A Link to the Past is a bonus level for once you've beat Vaati in the Four Swords game. It's a dungeon that takes place in what I believe is the Four Sword sanctuary, and so it links the storylines of the two games. While beating this dungeon is not nessary to beating Ganon and winning A Link to the Past, it is a cool idea.

Even without the multiplayer option, this is a great game, and if you get the chance to play it with two or more people then you'll not be disappointed.

Legens of Zelda: A Link to the Past Four Swords GBA

Zelda has always been ont of the best RPGs ever. This has all the same great zelda action, adventure, puzzling dungeons, as before, in a convient traveling size gameboy advance game. I got it for the multiplayer features which I have not yet played, but I'm sure its just as cool.
