I bought this product because I was extremely pleased with it while I was playing it with my friend and I was looking to buy some games for my system.
I like this product because it has great graphics and is fairly easy to play. It is not one of those games where it is so hard that you lose interest. You have unlimited lives so you can die as many times as possible so there is no game over. After you pass a level, you can play it again as "free play" allowing you to play the level with any player you have unlocked so you can get to new places and unlock more items. There is also 6 game slots to save your game in. So you can have up to six people with there own personal game saved to your X-box.
I have only noticed one problem with it. When you are in the parking lot by the Diner, it may occasionaly freeze so you have to restart your X-box. But it saves your progress to the last time you saved. So it's not as drastic as it sounds.
Compared to other games I've played this one is one of the best. It has a unique twist with it as you can drop-in and drop-out co-op mode so if it is to hard for one player, which is highly unlikely, or they have to leave for a second, you can drop-out and the other player can still play. Then you can drop-in and continue playing. Also when you die or destroy another character, they fall apart so there is no blood or gore which is good for younger players.
I'm not an experienced gamer and become easily discouraged with harder games, but this one is easy enough for me without being boring for more experienced gamers.
Overall a 5/5 for me!

Lego Star Wars for XBOX - Highly Recommend!
Created: 09/02/07
I bought this game for my 7 year old son based on ratings from other reviewers and the lack of realistic and gratuitous violence. The process of "killing" other characters is very cartoonish and results in the lego pieces breaking apart and slowly disappearing - more so in the fashion of building a character with real legos and breaking it apart. My son loves this game and it has been a great bonding time for us because we can play together. The controls are not complicated for adults or children and my son picked up on the various tasks/movements rather quickly. It is also cool because you can switch characters anytime you want during play to utilize their talents/tools/weapons to accomplish the mission. The other cool part is that it follows a storybook format and follows the movie sequence step by step as you unlock new chapters. I highly recommend this game - wish there were more like it!

LEGO Star Wars

My eight year old son enjoyed playing this game at his friends house. He had some money and decided to buy this game on ebay. What he likes most about this game is that "when you "die" you pop into a bunch of little LEGO pieces." What he doesn't like about the game is "the sith's hold you up in the air with the force and when they let you down you drop and lose a life." He highly recommends this game.

The First(second) Epic LEGO Trilogy!!!
Created: 09/11/06
It's kind of neat how The first three Star Wars Movies were the best While the Last Three Were Fun but not as involveing. It's the Same with the LEGO Games but in reverse release order. I recently got the Second Trilogy first in store and had a Blast going through all the levels and discovering all the hidden content. It's a very involveing game. Then I bought the First Trilogy off eBay because It's not in stores anymore. The game is fun but not as involveing as the second series and doesn't seem to contain as much content. Fun none-the-less and I'm glad I got it.

Great for the "younger" gamer

I purchased this xbox game for my 5 1/2 year old. Some of his older friends and cousins have the Star Wars Lego 2 for xbox, but I was not thrilled that it is rated 10 years old and up. This first version is rated E for everyone and is perfect for him. He plays for as long as I'll let him. He has a blast acheiving higher levels, and "building" the Lego characters.
