If your into the history of music this Les Paul DVD is the for you!
Lester William Polsfuss, known as Les Paul (June 9, 1915 – August 12, 2009) [3][4]was an American innovator, inventor, musician and songwriter. He was a pioneer in the development of the solid-body electric guitar which "made the sound of rock and roll possible". He is credited with many recording innovations, including overdubbing (also known as sound on sound), delay effects such as tape delay, phasing effects, and multitrack recording.
His innovative talents extended into his playing style, including licks, trills, chording sequences, fretting techniques and timing, which set him apart from his contemporaries and inspired many of the guitarists of the present day. He recorded with his wife Mary Ford in the 1950s and they sold millions of records.
Among his many honors, Paul is one of a handful of artists with a permanent, stand-alone exhibit in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He is prominently named by the music museum on its website as an "architect" and a "key inductee" along with Sam Phillips and Alan Freed.

Chasing Sound

Les Paul has had as much impact on modern music as any other musician or music technician. Not only is he a great guitarist but is also responsible for the development of the electric guitar and sound layering. Another fantastic attribute about this amazing man is that, being in his 90's, he has played with some of the greatest musicians and singers of all time. . . many no longer with us. The DVD is awesome and anyone who loves music will love this DVD.

Living History, living musical Einstein!
Created: 11/03/09
This was a walk through history. If you love the guitar, he has taken this instument to a level never before thought of. Not only the amplification of sound, but many playing techniques are now available that wasn't possible before. This man deserves more honor and attention that he has received. He is a musical Einstein. Children should be reading about him in their American history books, right alongside Edison and the Wright Brothers! Recording would not be what it is today without this man's invention of layered tracks.
Thanks Les Paul! You are a great American! Wish I could learn all you have forgot on the guitar! Your a hero!

Les Paul - Chasing Sound! (2007, DVD)
Created: 26/06/08
Les Paul has been one of my favorite musicians for 50 years. This DVD does a great job of describing his impact on all music, and also showcases the man himself. The performances of Les at age 90 at the Iridium are lots of fun. The DVD also has some great "Old time" video clips of both Les Paul and Mary Ford. If you like GOOD music, you will like this DVD,
