Walk Away the Pounds: Walk and Jog

This is a great workout for those who would like to go from walking to a light jog but aren't sure how to start training for it. Like all of her Walk Away the Pounds videos, Leslie Sansone has a sensible approach to interval training by offering four 2-minute jogging intervals among her trademark moves. You won't be disappointed with this workout no matter what your skill level.

Need to Bump Up Leslie's Walking Workouts?

This workout takes Leslie Sansone's basic walking workouts and bumps it up to the next fitness level. If you know Leslie's programs, you know they are easy to follow and not ever confusing. There are four core moves -- knee lifts, kicks, side steps, and marching. Now Leslie adds in 2 minute jogging intervals. Not ready for jogging? That's fine too. You can march in place while Leslie jogs. Every move can be tailored to your own fitness level.
Why I gave this a good instead of an excellent is only due to the fact that the 2-minute intervals are not straight jogging. Leslie introduces other moves, which are a bit more advanced. Even though you can keep jogging or even do alternate lower impact exercises while she does her thing, it still isn't just jogging and walking as I had thought.
In the end though, Leslie Sansone's workouts are always rated the highest on my indoor home workout selections and I firmly believe they are much better and/or more effective than outdoor walking.

Awesome, once again

I love Leslie Sansone! This DVD was no exception to the rule. I thought this dvd provided an amazing burn. It didn't feel like the workout was dragging on forever and ever. She is upbeat and encouraging. She also has one of the ladies keep a brisk walk for those who cannot do the jog. I recommend this to anyone of any age.

Pretty Good but not her best

I like Leslie's DVDs a lot so I wasn't disappointed by this one. I needed something to take me to a higher fitness level and I thought this would be the DVD for me but it doesn't meet the expectations I had. It is her basic walking moves with intervals of jogging in place but really you do more kicking in place than jogging. I was hoping this DVD would prepare me to be able to go outside and jog but if that's what you're looking for, this won't do that. However, it is still a good 30 minutes of cardio so if that's enough for you, any Leslie Sansone workout is good.

An anytime, all weather walkers workout

I purchased the Leslie Sansone Walk and Jog DVD because I was tired of considering a click of the mouse as part of my daily workout. I am not big on the group gym experience and the weather where I live does not always permit me to walk outdoors. I have only had this DVD for a few weeks but I can already see and feel the results. It's a fun and energetic walking workout that can be done anytime and regardless of the weather. This workout is great for beginners as well as more advanced walkers. Plus the added bonus of working out in the privacy of my own home, makes it easier to fit into my schedule. I have enjoyed this workout so much that I have started to collect other Sansone walking workouts and am now walking 5 days a week.
