LG BD550 Blu-Ray Player

This is my third blu-ray player. I like the extended number of widgets available for streaming over the net. The front panel controls are clean and non obtrusive. Power and open/close are all that are needed anyway. The picture and sound are excellent as with most blu-ray players. I like the audio pass through feature via HDMI. I wish this player had a usb media port and a toslink audio out port. Still, for the price it's fine.

A good amount of features, fantastic picture (what blu ray player doesn't lol). I received mine for a very good deal $80 shipped (open box). I would say any price under $100 in 2011 is a good price for this unit. The display on the player itself is plain, not a huge deal. It has Netflix and other net content via netcast. I think blu-ray players with extra net features are the future. Net boxes will become more and more popular I'm sure, and of course, less expensive. I have only had the unit a few days, but so far so good. Plays net content well including full 1080p via Vudu. Netflix plays great as well. I have read a few complaints about this unit not playing net content well. Many people that own technology blame the wrong parts of the puzzle. If someone is having movie streaming issues it is most likely their service provider, not this player. LG did well on this one. I rate it good because I don't know many to compare with. If you are looking for a player with nice extras like netflix and more, I'd say this would be a good choice.

The BD550 is an excellent machine for the first-time Blu-Ray owner. I recently received my BD550 and have been very satisfied. The set up was incredibly easy. Plug in and go. I was immediately listening to music on Pandora and streaming movies from Netflix. And the picture quality it produced from my standard DVD and Blu-Ray was beautiful. I would recommend this unit to anyone out there looking for their first player!

What I like about the blu-ray player is the quality of the picture it produces even without the use of blu-ray disc. I decided to buy this blu-ray player because of the price, my brother has one and I liked the quality of the picture as I have already mentioned and the fact that there are endless features that I can consider with this blu-ray player. I haven't done it yet but, I might decide to hook it up to the internet so I can stream movies from Netflix. You can't do that with a regular DVD player!!

LG BD550 Blu-Ray Player,the good thing about this player is that it play all my dvd disc even the ones that freeze in my regular player. i haven't update the player as yet cause my son is the one who take control of my player. one thing i can say i will be purchasing another one. thanks
