I'm not a fancy phone person, and I'm not a "can't live without my phone" kinda gal. Overall, I like this phone. I like having the standard 10-key on the front, as well as the qwerty keyboard inside (although thumb nails have to be short in order to use). My complaint, though, is that it's freezing up, sometimes even stalling. I've had it for probably for only three months, and I noticed it first probably a few weeks after I bought it. It just suddenly froze, kinda like a computer, and nothing would bring it back to life. The screen was just frozen. Even holding down the power button doestn't shut if off - I have to take out the battery. Sometimes it freezes WHILE I'm actually shutting it down. I've noticed it now "stalling" for a few seconds while going through menus or messages. Yesterday it refused to send a text and I had to pull the battery out to get it to fix itself. I like this little fellah, but I'm starting to wonder if this is going to continue getting worse, until I'm stuck with spending money on another phone...when this one is still so new. My suggestion: lets just all revolt against cell phones and stop living our lives through them. Then we wont have to worry about them not working. =)

Its similar to the LG env 3&4. I like the extra characters on the keyboard and the curve of the keyboard. I like to write with the spanish characters to my spanish speaking friends and it's easier with this phone. I also like that there is no data fee. I prefer flip phones to slide phones and this is a flip phone. I also like the camera, it has more pixals. I like that it is not a touch phone. I do not like touch phones. I use the alarm and the calendar features. I have also found a ring tone that I like.

Bought phone to replace old phone. Good basic feature phone that gets good reception. Easy to use and good keyboard for texting. Don't like large number of features, trying to be a smartphone.
In Comparison to other retire phones it is much better but no where near as easy to use compared to smartphones. Web based functions are not easy on this phone.

I had to buy a replacement for the LG Octane my dogs tried to eat. It had gotten pretty mangled, but still worked! I love the LG Octane. It's easy to use & has a lot of nice features. I don't use my phone for accessing the internet, but I do use it for making/receiving calls, texting & taking pictures/videos. The only complaint I have about this phone is that the volume can't be adjusted loud enough so I can hear it ringing when it's in my pocket. If you want a good dependable phone that doesn't require a data plan and doesn't have a touch screen, this is it.

Goo if you text and mobile email. Don't buy it if you use MS Outlook.

Pros: Excelent call quality. Long battery life. Good looking design. Good size and weight.
Cons: Hard to access the calander. No appointments on the home screen. LG Outlook sync only copies 4 lines of contact information and not the entier contact information or picture.
Conclusion: Buy if you text a lot and need mobile email. Don't buy it if you use MS Outlook.
