Movie synopsis
For those who like their action heroes with intelligence and a little vulnerability, Noah Wyle (ER) stars in THE LIBRARIAN: RETURN TO KING SOLOMON'S MINES. This sequel to THE LIBRARIAN: QUEST FOR THE SPEAR finds Flynn Carsen (Wyle) leaving the bowels of the New York Public Library in search of the mythic mines of King Solomon. Oscar-winning actress Olympia Dukakis plays Carsen's concerned mother, with TV veterans Bob Newhart and Jane Curtin reprising their roles from the original film. Gabrielle Anwar plays Carsen's love interest who accompanies him on his quest. Combining action and humor, this film channels the Indiana Jones series and ROMANCING THE STONE.

Good family movies.
No skin or foul language but STILL has pretty good humor and quite a bit of action and adventure (somewhat similar to the Indiana Jones series) .

) Although with "The Librarian" movies, the writers, director, producer, etc. would like to give the feel of an 'Indiana Jones'-like adventure, they just cannot quite do it with a TNT budget. And that is not exactly a bad thing. There are times where the tongue is firmly planted in cheek in "The Librarian" movies. Noah Wylie is a fine actor, as is Bob Newhart, Jane Curtain, et al. But... the same cannot be said for all of the supporting cast. I look forward to seeing how the third part "Curse of the Judas Chalice", turns out.

Another Fun Librarian Adventure

) I love all the Librarian movies. Return to King Solomon's Mines is another fun adventure with super intelligent and kind of dorky librarian Flynn Carson as he moves to save the world yet again. If you liked either of the other Librarian movies (Quest for the Spear; Curse of the Judas Chalice) you'll enjoy this one too!

i enjoed this series very much so i purchased this second in the three series of the libarian it has humor and adventure i think its just good for me anyway. i enjoy comedy and indiana jones type movies that have humor and action

Excellent movie great action movie for children

Bought this as a gift for Mother's Day. Perfect gift for any teacher or librarian. TNT movie. This is the sequel to the first Librarian with Noah Wilie (off of ER). Great for kids because it mades history and books very adventurous. The main character, who is the Librarian, is also not buff or a perfect male specimen, but his best atributes are his mind and education. I love these types of "role models" for children.
