Album Notes
LIFE IS PEACHY contains a CD-Extra video segment of Korn's performance at the Astoria Theater, London, England.Korn: Jonathan Davis (vocals, bagpipe); Head (guitar, background vocals); Munky (guitar); Fieldy (bass); David (drums).Additional personnel includes: Chino Moreno (vocals).Recorded at Indigo Ranch Studios, Malibu, California."No Place To Hide" was nominated for a 1998 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance.Personnel: Jonathan Davis (vocals, guitar, bagpipe, drums); Brian Welch (vocals, guitar); Chino Moreno (vocals); Munky, James Schaffer (guitar); Chuck Johnson (cowbells).Audio Mixers: Ross Robinson; Chuck Johnson ; Richard Kaplan; Tom Lord-Alge.Recording information: Indigo Ranch Studios, Malibu, CA.Photographers: Martin Riedl; Stephen Stickler.Unknown Contributor Role: Sugar and Earl.Arranger: Korn.Full of shrilly, distorted guitar squeals, bass-heavy darkness and laryngitis-inducing growls, Korn's sophomore turn, the oh-so sarcastically titled LIFE IS PEACHY, is a musical tour through some truly evil corners. The Bakersfield quintet's paranoia-induced rampage makes countless by-the-numbers death-metal acts seem cartoonish by comparison.Mostly, Korn succeeds in inspiring rage and terror by not overplaying its hand, and by mixing in hip-hop beats, punk abandon and funky humor with its thrash. Jonathan Davis croons as ably as he roars, making his "Exorcist" impression seem genuine when he does break into it. James "Munky" Shaffer's and Brian "Head" Welch's guitars never explode into bombastic faster-than-light solos; instead, they uphold the album's eerie textures by flying in and out of the mix like samples. And drummer David Silveria is as adept at reproducing the Latin percussion polyphony of War (on a metallic cover of that band's "Low Rider") as he is double-timing on his twin bass drums. Add it up, and LIFE IS PEACHY assembles into far more than your average declaration to Satan.

Korn - Life is Peachy. 2nd best Korn CD A.D.I.D.A.S.

Created: 26/09/06
This is one of my top ten favorite albums with the wicked vocals of John Davis and the awesome bass of Fieldy. This CD is also an ECD, wich means you can watch the music video for A.D.I.D.A.S if you put the disc into your computer. Life is Peachy has many Korn classics including Twist, Wicked, ADIDAS, Lowrider, and Kill You. It is weird to say Korn "classics" but this album is already a decade old! In my opinion this is one of Korn's more light-hearted albums as suggested by the title Life is Peachy. All Day I Dream About Sex and the Lowrider cover add a bit of humor to the band's songs. Also there is a hidden track at the end of the CD which highlights John Davis' vocals in the song Twist. Don't get me wrong this, Life is Peachy is still the same hard rock you have come to enjoy from Korn. Fourteen hard-hitting tracks will surely entertain you. A little bit of trivia: The CD Follow the Leader (My Favorite Korn CD) is supposed to be a continuation of this album. The first 14 tracks of Follow the Leader are blank to represent this continuation. Life is Peachy is a must have for ANY Korn fan.

Korn's best album by far, great stuff!

This CD is pretty much a classic by now but I it is still an awesome CD! Except for one or two songs this whole CD is filled with the best songs that you could listen to over and over again. True, you could download these songs of the internet for free but it would take you a while to get all the songs in a high quality copy so why not buy this CD for a couple bucks instead?

This CD has their biggest hits and even the songs they didn't release as singles are awesome! If you have a nice stereo system you'll like the bass they have in their songs. It sounds awesome!

Life is Peachy CD

I decided to buy this item because it was the last Korn CD i needed to have all of their CD's. When i recieved it, i looked at it and saw that it was half black and half silver. i looked at it closer and noticed that the silver part was actually supposed to be black, and the paint of literally half the CD was scratched off some how. Also track #14 won't play, it will play some of the song, but then will pause. I tried to fast forward hoping it was just some scratch the CD player couldn't get over, but as many times as i did this it still wouldn't work. So i would just advise anyone buying CDs on the internet to be careful and ask as many questions as possible before purchasing it. If i have to say something i like about this product i guess i'm glad that the first 13 tracks work with very little skipping. Over all i was unhappy and gave him negative feedback, but no one will be able to read what i wrote because he hides the comments.

Life Is Peachy is probably Korn's best album. It's certainly my favorite. Hard, serious, and well crafted. 3 Stars.
