) The only thing that keeps Sun Signs from being perfect is age. As it was published in the mid-sixties, some of the viewpoints are definitely pre-womens-lib. Personally, I find it hilarious read some of the antiquated views on womans "place" in society, although there's nothing offensive, and Goodman was a more than adequate writer. She lays out all of the basic characteristics of a sign, and then goes into further detail- giving specific info on men, women, children, bosses, and employees. She never gets too deep into ascendants or any of the technical aspects of her trade, as she did in her other books, preferring instead to stick to the basics. All in all, it's a terrific general guide to the traits that signs share, and the perfect book for those in need of an introduction to astrology.

I'm not into astrology deeply but I read this book many years ago and the descriptions of the signs are so true to like. I still enjoy reading this book and when I meet new people I immediately go to the book and see if they are close to their sun sign

) I have probably purchased this book more times than any other as gifts and advice, most recently for my Aries daughter... ranks as one of the best books I have ever read. Comparable to John Updike, Robert Heinlein, C.S Lewis... qualifies as literature in my opinion... +/- what ever your beliefs. A one of a kind adventure in reading. Recommended for anyone and everyone.
