If your kids like it on a PC, they will like this one

If you are not familiar with Line Rider at all, go check it out for free at linerider(dot com) to see if your kids will like this game. This is basically a portable version of that game. Personally, as an adult, I don't find this game all that great, but my 6,9, & 10 y/o find it fun.

There is a bit of a "story" mode to the DS version where you have to complete tracks that have missing areas to them by choosing the correct "line" type. You collect coins and tokens along the track. As you collect them, you earn "surprises" and open the next track to be completed. This can be challenging because the kids have to know which type of line to use and draw them in such a way that they are able to run into the coins in order to collect them.

You can also play in freestyle mode and just doodle up a storm to create your own unique track. Name and save them to watch them again and again.

There is also a puzzle mode so you can create a track for your friends to solve.

The WIFI option also allows kids to share their tracks and puzzles with each other.

The game is really boaring for any age group. Building ski slopes and some are complicated to do that I couldn't even do it. The game doesn't make sense.... and parts are so easy my five year old won't even play it.
