This movie takes place in the hot desert of New Mexico.Border patrol officer has made a pledge to go by the law and make sure even if someone is trying to cross the border that they don't get mistreated, he does just about everything by the book.When a search for a coyote goes wrong he ends up killing the drug smugglers to a well known gang leader. He is now faced with an ultimatium to help the gang or put his family in harms way. When this border patrol officers bad past comes back to haunt him he has to make a choice to cross that line to save his family.

In the ,but as the action heats up so does the film..Cuba Gooding Jr, plays an by the book border patrol officer who watches as his partner gets blown away by drug smugglers..when he allows one a young boy to escape the viewers do not know his reasons until later in the film..he makes the decision to take his family and leave Mexico, but before he can do so his past catches up withb him and it's either help a local drug lord smuggle drugs across the border or watch his wife and daughter die..the twists and turns in this film are jaw droppers..the right amount of action mixed with drama makes this a fun film to watch..I give this one 4 out of 5 bars only coz it's slow getting started!!

This movie is about a border control officer who his past gang buddies come back to ask a huge favor of him to help smuggle drugs across the border. It is very suspensful and action packed, there is violence with guns ect. so parents might be advised about their kids watching this, but it is AWESOME!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

love to watch cuba gooding jr. he puts all he has into the role he is doing. when his past comes creeping into his house and endangers his family he has no choice but to help his old 'friends' out. was a good action film, just enough shoot-em-up to be exciting with a small twist at the end...which I thought was just a wee bit weak..why buy it? love action/thrillers and love watching cuba
