) This is an amazing movie with a story that transcends age, gender, and nationality. But this is more for the extra features on this blu-ray release.
I bought this to replace my ageing VHS version. The picture is vibrant and the music is crisp in 7.1 sound.
The extras include a cop-out 'second screen' option that utilizes an ipad or laptop to 'experience the movie' better. I dislike this option as I like my special features to be on the disc instead of requiring an additional accessory.
Also included is a good, if short, documentary from the director and cast on the filming of the movie, almost 20 years after they started working on the movie and another featurette on the production of the movie. A better documentary for this time period is found in Waking Sleeping Beauty. There's also a sing along mode and a blu-ray picture gallery, good for children but they get bored quickly.
All in all, it is a great movie that Disney does a fantastic job remastering in HD. The extras are scant but if you can get this for 20 dollars or less, it's a steal.

) I bought this product because basically it is the first movie I ever saw, and the first I saw in theaters. I also bought it because the only version I have it is on VHS and now I am bigger into movies I needed a more updated quality picture and a butt load of Special Features.
What I love about this movie is just the entire thing itself, this Disney Cartoon is much different than any thing from there special decade (89-99). On top of that the picture looks incredible.
The only bad thing about the movie here is the price of the actual movie and if you have the special edition case what do you do w/ the mint case you get w/ the actual movie?
In the end I recommend this to anyone who loved this movie as a child and/or is a big fan of Disney.

I bought this movie because I love Disney movies and this is a classic. I like everything about this product from the DVD to the Blu-Ray and the bonus features. If you are going to buy this movie I would recommend going with the Diamond Edition.

One of the best disney movies of all time. I just bought the Blu-ray, so excited to see it again in HD. This movie has lovable characters that kids of all ages will enjoy.

I love the Lion King Movie and this was awesome! Disney is my favorite maker of movies. I love the way they have a moral to almost every story they tell!
