Lisa Lampanelli - Take It Like A Man (DVD, 2005)

Lisa Lampanelli is perhaps the funniest female comic on the comedy circuit today! She looks like a lovely Italian mama, with a brood of kids and a tasty kitchen....and then she opens her mouth, and that's whats so funny...you do not expect to hear this type of comedy from a woman! She pushes and then goes over the boundaries of good taste and the result is hysterical, but not for the faint hearted!
No one is safe in this stand up show, recorded as a live performance at the Improv in Florida! Her comedy is brash, rude, crude and throws the concept of politically correct out of the window! She insults everyone, black, white, gay, straight , fully abled, disabled, the old, the young, Hispanics, Jewish people, Afro Americans - she takes everyone stereotype and runs with it! But while you will sit there is shock commenting "Did she really just say that?" - you will have tears of laughter rolling down your face!!
Lisa has the most fun with her audience...if you ever want to see her live, you will quickly learn that the front row is not the place to sit...unless you cna indeed "Take it like a man". She chooses her targets well and they become the main focus of her entire show, using defamatory names to catagorize audience members and stereotypes associated with role or character she assigns them!!
If you are looking for non stop laughs then this may be for you...I say may, as this is in your face, no holds barred comedy in the same league as Bobby Slayton or Andrew Dice Clay!! If these are your type of comics, then Lisa is the newest and greatest member of the club and is one not to be missed!!!

Lisa Lampanelli has taken her title of Queen of Mean to a whole new level with "Take It Like a Man". I hadn't even heard of her until I watch this on Comedy Central. I was literally crying from laughing so hard. When I finally bought the DVD, I had even more laughs! Lisa is very different from her other female counterparts in the comedy circuit. She doesn't soley bash on men or the fact that she's a big, middle-aged, Italian woman. Instead, she takes every stereotype known today and makes it a joke everyone can laugh to. NO ONE is safe from her insults and if you don't like it, she doesn't care. Add this to your collection and I PROMISE you, you'll laugh harder than you ever have in your life!

I bought this DVD after seeing Lisa Lampanelli on a tv special. She is hilarious and this DVD proves it! "Take It Like A Man" is absolutely side-splitting from start to finish. If you are easily offended, this is not something you'd enjoy. But if you are rude, crude, and want to laugh, I highly recommend this stand up comedy.

Lisa is a hilarious insult comic who shows no mercy to any topic, group, or individual. If you can't laugh at yourself and others, then she is not for you! We have been fortunate enough to see Lisa a couple of times and this CD is a great showcasing of her act.

Well if your a prude or sensitive-this is not for you! I find Lisa Lampanelli very funny. Some people may find the racial comments offensive but I didn't because she makes fun of all races! I thought it was hysterical. I also am a fan of Kathy Griffin so that is my type of humor. I would recommend it as long as you don't get offended easily.
