Love the movie!

We bought this DVD because we have worn out the VHS version, plus the kids wanted to watch it in the truck all the time. It is so cute. The characters are ones that my five-year-old triplets can relate to with their strong, imperfect personalities.
My one problem with this movie is that some of the dialog is a bit mean. My kids recite over and over, "Dear Darla, I hate your stinkin' guts." The whole premise of the show is that the boys have a club called "The He-man Woman-Haters Club", but Alfalfa pursues Darla, a no-no with the boys. There is a lot of name-calling, too. None of this is out of character for kids of this age, just unfortunate that my kids picked up on that part of it.
On the whole, though, we love watching this movie, both adults and kids. I would definitely recommend it for families.

This is a delightful little remake of the "Our Gang Comedy" series into a movie. This is a very funny and genuinely "sweet" film all about children being children, for adults! I have watched this movie several times, and each time I see something new. Amazingly, the film's director, Penelope Spheeris, has captured that same magic as the original comedies from many years ago. The principle characters, Alfalfa, Spanky, Darla, Buchwheat, Stymie, and many more are so truly and honestly captured. The "He-Man, Woman Haters Club", the club house, the down-hill racers, and of course, the childhood love of Alfalfa & Darla, all are splendidly played out by these amazing children. It was a pleasure to be able to see children playing together again without any guns or violence. This little movie is a keeper!

This movie is SO adorable- clubhouses, street car races, princess ballets and Barbies- only some of the things that make kids, kids. This is a movie about
a boy named Alphalfa (played by a VERY young Bug Hall from Disney's Get A Clue with Lindsey Lohan) who is torn between his two loves- his 'men' at the
He-Man Woman Haters Club, and his sweet faced girlfriend named Darla. This is a great movie that teaches the trials of friendship, love, betrayal, and bravery. It is good fun and great for family viewing.

I bought it for my 8 year old granddaughter and 4 year old grandson. It was a pleasure to watch it with both of them. It contained good, clean humor and enough "action" to keep the boy interested. I recommend the movie. I don't think children over 12 would like it, but for those of us near 60 who grew up watching The Little Rascals, I think you'll enjoy it. Well, maybe not guys who like Action movies. Hope this helps.

Such a great movie. Alfalfa is one of the classic film characters of all time. All the different kids that make up the cast of the rascals are very funny.
