DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH is an 11-track collection of unreleased tracks and alternate versions of songs from 2007's AVENGED SEVENFOLD recording sessions, as well as two cover songs. "Flash of the Blade" is a cover of an obscure Iron Maiden song that was originally recorded for the Summer 2008 KERRANG! MAGAZINE compilation, MAIDEN HEAVEN. Similarly, "Walk" is a cover of Pantera's signature anthem, and was originally recorded for the 2006 KERRANG! MAGAZINE compilation, HIGH VOLTAGE.The disc LIVE IN THE LBC is the band's first official live concert DVD. This complete live set was filmed during Avenged Sevenfold's impressive, April 10, 2008, hometown headlining performance at the Long Beach Arena in California along the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour trail. The DVD is presented in HD and 5.1 Surround Sound.

Editorial Reviews
[LBC] is Avenged Sevenfold flexing their considerable muscle, bellowing out the hits, shredding like a holy war. It's shock and awe made musical, and completely bloody exceptional.

A Must for Avenged Fans!

Created: 09/12/10
Whether you are a fan of the band from 2010 or before, every fan should see this video. In the last live video of the boys with their now deceased drummer, Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, the talent of each member shines. The Rev's background vocals complement M. Shadows' perfectly. Bassist Johnny Christ sings the intro to Seize the Day, Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance shred on their dueling guitars, constantly picking fun at the other boys. Even a lucky fan gets in on the action, as the boys let him up on the stage for a cover of Pantera's "Walk."

The final show is hauntingly eerie, one of the best shows with The Rev, if not his best, on video. The fans get a look at the camaraderie, brotherhood and musical talent the five have and the love for one another and their fans. Whichever Avenged fan purchases this DVD it will not be a decision that will be regretted.

Live in the LBC&Diamonds in the rough Avenged Sevenfold

If you are a true fan of music you need to check this one out. Avenged Sevenfold fans already know. These guys just keep getting better, and better. This bands unique style is something that any music lover will want to experience over and over again. The previously unreleased material on this c.d.adds more power to thier arsenal of powerfull "turn it up" material. You can feel thier music with all of your senses. The remix of "Afterlife" at the end of the c.d. with the orchestral backup further shows just how talented these guys really are. The d.v.d. Live in the LBC is the ultimate homecoming show. The way these guys take control of the stage is unbelievable. They get up there and have fun. They give thier audience a real rock & roll show. The light show, pyro, video and backdrops compliment the ease with which they perform. The dedication of "Gunslinger to the U.S. military is very classy. It is wonderfull to see a group of friends play music because it is what they always wanted to do and they weren't afraid to learn how to do it right! AWESOME GUYS, ABSOLUTELY AWESOME.

Live in the LBC!

What a deal this was from one of the best American Metal Bands of all time. A7X really brings up an awesome live show here and makes it a great time for all their hometown fans. The show was done excellently, but overall the most impressive thing about the DVD was the sound quality. The entire concert was mixed perfectly. Also, the Diamonds in the Rough CD is a great asset, basically serving as a brand new studio album with a few covers on it. This is one for A7X fans of all caliber.

Avenged Sevenfold would blow your mind away!

Avenged Sevenfold blew away my expectations....Live in The LBC is absolutely perfect! One of the greates concerts ever. They demonstrate their ability to put on one hell of a live show on the DVD. M. Shadows sounded GREAT, the guitars were flawless, and Zachy, Syn, and the Rev really nailed their backing vocals. You just gotta buy this, believe me you would not regret it. A7X Rules!

The best DVD I've ever bought

Created: 25/01/11
Incredible DVD, I just love all the songs that they play in this show. The best dvd i've ever had.The CD however isnt that good... the songs are too heavy in my opinion, nothing compared to the City of evil,Nightmare or Avenged Sevenfold album. Anyway, the boxset values its price because of the DVD.
