Featured are some of the giants of the music world; Elvis Costello and Burt Bacharach are backed up by a string orchestra and the trademark Bacharach flugelhorns. Flea contributes his distinctive bass work to Jewel's "You Belong To Me." Lenny Kravitz and his band rock the house with "Are You Gonna Go My Way" and Patti Smith and band rock it hard with the closing number "Who Do You Love." The programming on the disc was done thoughtfully, and the performances flow like a well planned concert.

Well Done Live CD from The Late Show

Created: 24/01/08
This is an excellent CD with some great live music on it. It's so well produced as each song just seems to seemlessly continue on to the next, almost like a concert. The only criticism I have of this CD is that of all the incredible artists that appear on the Late Show, it seems that some others should have been included on such a compilation, perhaps in place of the ones they did choose. Overall though, an excellent CD and worth purchasing for sure.

Great Live performances by rock/pop icons and newbies

The beauty of this album is the way it is so seamlessly put together as if it is a continuous stage show. The sound quality is outstanding. The performances top-notched. An eclectic collection of originals and covers by some of the best performers of the 70s/80s/90s.
