That is, not as long as youngsters like the guys in Midtown continue to crop up and dive headlong into their own personal variant on the style. Like their aformentioned predecesoors, Midtown is long on energy, power chords, and supercharged rhythms, but never at the expense of memorable melodies or lyrics. It's also heartening (and well in keeping with the original punk spirit) to note that the success of LIVING WELL IS THE BEST REVENGE is on the band's own terms, through their own grass-roots label instead of on the coattails of a major corporation. Rock on, lads.
