I would have given this one 5 stars except for one minor quibble: I don't think that the average person will be able to use some of the tips here. THe author lived on $12K a year and even the most frugal among us would have a hard time doing that without some serious changes in lifestyle, changes the average person might not be willing to make.
Even so, this book is FULL of valuable information and I learned plenty of new things. There are sections on saving money on gas, insurance, health care, housing...and much of the information is NOT run of the mill. Of course, that is also what make it hard for people to follow. To live well on "practically nothing" true sacrifices and hard choices have to be made. But even if you don't want to go whole hog, this book can help you cut down drastically on your expenses!
